FWSK kicked off its 29th season with a fantastic first day, packed with innovation, art, and creativity-all under the inspiring theme of sustainability. A huge thank you to the Embassy of Sweden in Skopje and our incredible partner SIEC Macedonia for their unwavering support in making this all possible!
The day began with the eye-opening exhibition “Fashion. Forever.” curated by the Swedish Embassy, which ran throughout all four days of the event. It challenged us to rethink our relationship with fashion and embrace the circular economy. As we explored the stunning displays, we saw the bright future that young designers envision for a more sustainable industry. Elisabet Dahlberg Frisk, Deputy Head of Mission, perfectly captured our mission: “We’re moving beyond fast fashion to something that lasts-forever fashion.
On day two, we enjoyed the hands-on Syjunta Repair Café, where participants learned the art of clothing repair, highlighting the importance of keeping our wardrobes-and our planet-healthy.
We also celebrated sustainability with “Fika with Clothes Swap.” This cozy gathering embraced second-hand fashion, reminding us that style can be both sustainable and personal. With engaging discussions and a warm atmosphere, we discovered that reused pieces can become the season’s best looks!
Together, we’re not just showcasing fashion-we’re shaping a movement. Thank you to everyone who joined us on this journey!
