Loved this arcade game it was crazy & a head turner. People couldn't work out how to finish the game, but, I eventually did. On the hill going up to the mountain, you had to cut across the grass at the top & fly down at full speed to the finish line just crossing at a split hairs second. Once I knew it I could do it every single time. Oh the memories of being a virtual trucker, haha. Still have it on my game cube, it's exactly the same but nothing can compare to the arcade.
i remember first playing this game when i was 5 in the complete middle of tennessee at my cousin’s house. i grinded like hell on this game and i remember it clearly😂
I had took a trip down there to the smoky mountains when I was a kid and I played this game there at some arcade and did some other stuff, best weekend I ever had
I remember first playing this at Gattitown which also had other SEGA arcade games like Lost World Jurassic Park, Ocean Hunter, Star Wars Trilogy, Crazy Taxi, and Jambo Safari. Now I own both this and Crazy Taxi on Dreamcast.
I remember this was in Chuck E Cheese in San Jose, the first Chuck e Cheese that is the biggest! By memory, it had the Nippon Maru and it had both vocal versions. The first phrase is the one I remember all the time and the second phrase (bonus) is the one I barely remember.
I used to play this in the arcade machine, with tokens you know and damn... I used to put some records but with Streamline, what a wonderful times, I just want to know if I can play this one in my pc?
I love the arcade version than the PS2 version. If Xbox One and PS4 had this arcade version, including The King of Route 66 as a double feature. At 0:46 there is an arcade mistake is the rail crossing arm did not come down and the lights not flashing as if this should fix, even as a re-release option.
The only time I can play this is when I go to Tennessee on vacation. I live in Indiana, and the only arcade version close to me was at a bowling alley, and it closed. I have the PS2 version, but it's just not the same! I like trying to get as close to $100,000 as I can by using all the hard trailers. Anyone else do that or am I the only one? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Same, took a trip to the smoke mountains when I was a kid and saw this at an arcade, best weekend i ever had, wish i could relive it all over again or go back 🥺
That makes sense. I have mine on the PS2 and as far as graphics go they are the same but this has a little bit of extras. But the characters voices are all different
@@fangojett6001, another difference between this version & the Dreamcast version is that there is a Holiday Inn billboard on the left at 0:17 in this version, but the Dreamcast version has a "Welcome to Grand Canyon" billboard on the left.

Holy crap I use to play this on PS2 all the time as a kid, lol I loved it. Completely forgot about it.
Hank Hill me too. But, I only played the arcade games 🕹 from Chuck E. Cheese 🧀
Asphalt Cowboy sounds like a euphemism. Can’t help but chuckle at it whenever I play this game.

Oh no! He's after Sexist Hawk!
I love the dialogue of games like this, the poor translation just makes the cheesy even better.

Yeah, racing games in the arcade are awesome because of the steering wheel and the cool cabinets they have.
@@KawaiiFaceman they are the best I 100% agree

It’s funny with these old arcade games that you still get the depressing Game Over screens even when you win.
I remember this game. They use to have this at the Wal-Mart.
I loved the times when there were arcade machines in malls, restauruants and so on.
Same

Those lightgun games like Lost World are awesome
Crazy Taxi is fun too, i remember playing it a lot at a friends house

Shoutout from TAT Express out of Hutchins, TX
This is my favorite arcade game in the world boots on the pedal as in (feet down I love it 🙃)

Only real pros complete the game with hard trailers.
I heard Lizard Tail was an unlockable character, but I'm pretty sure that's not true. I'd love to see someone prove me wrong.
The graphics are great
This is a best Sega’s arcade ever.
I used to play this in the arcade machine, with tokens you know and damn... I used to put some records but with Streamline, what a wonderful times, I just want to know if I can play this one in my pc?
You can play it on PC with an emulator
There used to be a Gattitown close to where I live & this was pretty much the only game I played there. I would always play as Asphalt Cowboy.
They sound different I had the GameCube version
I love this game i played both the Arcade version and the PS2 version awesome

60 seconds to get from New York to Florida, damn
I would love to see a real professional play this on TH-cam one day.
I hate when LizardTail drives like recklessly
so always ;-)
nice game i have play this in spain on arcade machine
9:01 SpongeBob horn
Is that "free fallin" song in the end credit?
They got rid of it in the console port, it's just a generic rock song. Maybe that's why they redid all the audio for the ports.
@@suicideposter It's in my Japanese Dreamcast copy.
@@Doommaster1994 Oh, I guess it was just the GameCube and PS2 versions that was ported by Acclaim then.

Yeah. There is one arcade that still has not 1, but 2 of these machines in downtown Pigeon Forge. Going back in August. Hopefully they're still there
Fort Wayne Indiana has a few of the machines still I play them all the time
@@masonhatfield5802 sorry I'm just now seeing your comment, but where in Ft. Wayne did you see these machines?
@@huntercurry if ever look up putt putt fort Wayne they have one
i played the PS2 version, what is the voice acting in this one lol
How truck drivers actually drive tho
This looks like a better version of the original game. I don’t like Lazard Tail’s new voice. He doesn’t sound as scary lol
This IS the original version that was in the arcades, dreamcast port came 1 year later
