A Letter to Our Daughter After Finding Out Mom Has Cancer While Pregnant

- After finding out about my cancer diagnosis while pregnant we started a little video letter to our baby, who we would later find out was a little girl. Sharing it here so she can always find it to look back on and so we have the memories too. It has been one heck of a journey the last few months and it is all kind of a blur so having these snippets to look back to is good.

She was so kind & strong and I miss her sweetness. My baby weighed 4 pounds & did wonderful. He’s 46 years old now & so healthy with 3 kids of his own. ❤ you & your husband are so calm & dedicated ❤ beautiful beautiful! Thanks for sharing this. Thank you for showing me true love between a Mom & Daughter…As a kiddo who grew up in a scary environment, you showed me what it’s like to truly love. I know who & what type of mom I wanted to be for our son. He is now 19 & I must say he I turned out so far awesome.

Haha, glad to know I’m not alone!! You should see our bedroom right now. I already have a pile of clothes to donate as she’s outgrown her preemie clothes already. The hospital said they don’t get a lot of clothes for the preemies so we’re going to drop them there for other littles to use. Thank you for your continued support! It means so much

Thank you so much for this sweet heartfelt message. It means a lot! Especially your words on parenting. It seems like a lot and that I can’t give her all of me sometimes, but so grateful her daddy can fill in the gaps. We’re getting there slowly but surely.

I am so happy and proud for you guys. You have a long road ahead, but all will be okay...as you said sometimes you just gotta roll with the punches. I just have spent the last two years fighting lung cancer and doing very well. They say it is gone...tests and doctors all the time, but treatments are over. God Bless you guys!!

That was as close as she got, didn’t actually touch her or anything. The doctors said she’s doing really good. Surpassing all her milestones and breathing well. Thank you for your concern!
