A friend of mine has a GS 300 with 469k on it daily driver so these cars are great they are starting to gain popularity for the fact that you can swap over to the 2JZ-GTE JDM motor witch is the same motor in the Toyota Supra
You can do anything for the right price but it is much easier and cheaper to start with a GS 300 you can get one stock from $1500 to $5000 for a real nice one
I'm planning on doing this exact setup, it's so mean sounding. How much did this setup set you back? Was the x pipe custom fabbed? If not what x pipe did you use? Also which mufflers did you use? More info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, and your ride is sweet. I have a 430 myself..
Sounds like you have an exhaust leak somewhere when letting off. Do you still have the crappy original Y-pipe in the middle that rusts? My car has that same little whisp as well from those garbage heatshields rotting that pipe.
Do you recall which series magnaflows you used, and if the x pipe was a purchased or fab unit? Looking to do the exact same on mine. The sound is crisp, low, and sounds aggressive, but mature.
does this car live up to the 300,000 mile life people claim, as an owner would you say its low maintenence cost, cause there is a nice one for sale in my area im thinking of buying and would like to hear an owners overall opinion before i commit
likechicken1 o I have over 224k miles on mine and I drive it all the time. The only problem o had with mine is the water pump leaking so I'm gonna change it and do the timing belt at the same time because there in the same area. I know I'm gonna get another 100k easily with mine I have no oil leaks or anything!!!
behem0th777 Sorry, did the mufflers about 5 years ago, don't remember the part numbers. The x-pipe is just a universal stainless piece, had it welded in because my pipe was rusting out in that spot.

I'd u do the timing kit update with water pump thats all the car need with oil changes and plugs
Mine had 320,000 miles
what rear bumper is that? sounds very nice btw!
I believe it's the factory-installed bumper
Did it have stick cats ? And still have middle resonators on?
do you drive it in the winter? I live in minnesota too and i might buy this same car for a daily driver
make sure you have good snow tires. it's easy to lose the back end if youre not careful
