    With the age of the parking meter I was hoping you'd find some old silver quarters or dimes. Great video.

    I just got a lock picking kit from Amazon, and looked at a few bell lock picking (much more difficult than ordinary lock) videos.... Took me 20 minutes, but I was able to pick the lock

    Set it up in a random parking spot, and check it every few months see if anyone put money in it

    When you tighten a drill bit move the key to each of the three holes on the chuck, you will be surprised each one will move a little

      Rinoa Super-Genius I never knew myself until an old timer showed me when I had trouble with a drill bit slipping in the chuck, he was a machinist he knew some cool stuff

    Oil keeps it sharp and cool, basically any can be better then none.

    I see that was made in Elk Grove, IL... Reason I know that place is that it is the home of the nation's worst US Post Office location. Every time I have a package go through there it gets delayed weeks. I completely stopped using USPS because of it. The Yelp reviews are a good read.

    Cutting oil works great you can pick it up at your local Rural King.

    All this drilling makes me feel like playing payday2 drilling bank vaults and such.

    Cutting fluid which cools the bit etc to aid in drilling. Slow is best rather than higher speeds.

    Are you a Caveman? You just destroyed Duncan model 60 Duplex lock parts that are getting very hard to find and no longer available from Duncan. I also have customers that would have paid good money for that door before you destroyed it..... The saddest part.... I could have picked that lock open and re-keyed it in a min. or two. YIKES!

      well you could have driven over here to do it yourself but you didnt, so stop whining.

      Rinoa Super-Genius It really is a high quality product that was met to last. Now your going to have to come up was a cool project that uses it. In as much as it has a clear plastic cover wouldn't it be interesting to put a LED light inside. Sort of a haunted parking meter. Lol

  • @AdammP

    Those two locking pins don't seem that long. I wonder how hard it would actually be to rip the door open with a crowbar, like how tough is the casing?

  • @cryptotiger9952
    @cryptotiger9952 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Now we know these meters are not stolen often :)

  • @CorkKNIFE
    @CorkKNIFE 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Why not just pick the lock? Maybe I missed that discussion in part 1. That was the most interesting part of that meter.

    • @RinoaL
      @RinoaL  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Because my skills arent enough for that and its easy to replace the lock once drilled

    • @CorkKNIFE
      @CorkKNIFE 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RinoaL Fair enough. Is it an easily found lock or are you replacing with a different, more common lock?

    • @sickstuff7624
      @sickstuff7624 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Unless you’re a master locksmith there is no way you are just “picking” the lock on a parking meter. They are designed to not be picked.

  • @thelockpickinglebowski633

    You completely butchered the meter instead of picking the lock open.

    8:00 You know, you could just cut it open with an angle grinder. Why bothering with the lock if all you wanted is to get inside?

    • @RinoaL
      @RinoaL  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      because i wasted 25 minutes looking for the cutting blade for my angle grinder. i've been using the sanding blade so much that i musta hid the cutter somewhere obvious.

    Did anyone else think it's funny to hear a girl say she doesn't have enough weight? I'm sure that's actually a nice "problem" to have...

    • @RinoaL
      @RinoaL  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +NiHaoMike well it was at an odd angle, i weigh 130lb so thats enough weight for a drill but i basicly have to be above the bit with all my weight on it. but a drill press does it better so maybe i should just get in the habit of using it more.

  • @flori8320

Totally unrelated, I have a centrifuge (Thermo, Expresso) that I am trying to sell/donate, I was thinkingof some tinkerer like yourself (or another tinkerer on youtube if you know people that deserve that), only thing is to pay for shipping, are you interested/ know someone that might be ?

    The engine oil has a pretty high boiling point. I think you're using synthetic, which is even better.
