I don't think Burt Reynolds ever played a more cool character than in this movie. Heat is so underrated. And that credit card swipe? That will definitely drive up his FICO score.
i like the remake as well Wild Card with J Statham but i absolutely love this original version without a doubt, superb film, great scenes n lines n plot n of course actors 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🏆🏆🏆🏆☄️☄️☄️

It's unfortunate as the potential to be a really good or even great movie was there but the action scenes were awkward. I also wish they had put Burt in a better outfit for the hotel suite scene rather than the clown suit that he wore.

Burt made some great movies. Always loved his calm sarcasm. As for bigger men, fighting then were always fun. They beat themselves 75% off the time thinking their size always wins. NOT!!!!

I’m 6’1”, 235lbs when I’m on, his hand wrapped around mine. He’s so friendly and kind you’d never guess how hard he was on the field, but he’s a seriously big guy lol

The tv spot had an line that said “Burt Reynolds, in the role you’ve been waiting for”. I have those lines on an old cassette when I would record sound clips off tv.
Unfortunately Burt at the time looked old and tired. Gone was the handsome appeal that drew the ladies to his movies. After Stick his rugged good looks faded. Long was the mega superstar of the early 80s.
