    Nice Neal and Shawn.
    I will see that pattern so many times. If it’s solid bounce back, they’ll never hit that line, always .10 cents either on top or bottom, but it’s always .10 cent.

    Maybe my favorite video so far. I am frustrated because the market is at the top and I keep hesitating to get back in. The conservative conception I have been told from swing trading is to not over expose more than 15% of my total worth. What do you guys think is the nonconservative exposure? 50%? 75%? Thank you guys for these videos, you are the only subscription I have on TH-cam.

    As a person still under the PDT rules I'm having to mix up day trading and swing trading when I'm out of day trades. I've heard about people opening accounts in brokerages that are out of the country since they aren't under any US laws with PDT rules. Do you guys have any information on this? Unwise road to take? The days I do execute day trades I'm profitable so I wouldn't go out and blow my account in a week

    • @mo938
      @mo938 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I know it isn't the advice you're looking for but you can trade futures without PDT restriction. Or use a cash account (but you have to wait for settled funds so it's like 6 in one hand and half a dozen in the other)...

      I suggest trading futures as well. No PDT rules. You can short without worrying about up tick rules.

    • @jrod9733
      @jrod9733 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not too familiar with futures but I'm definitely going to look into it! Thanks yall!

      @@jrod9733 I trade the ES (Emini S&P 500) and CL (WTI Crude Oil). One tick up or down on the ES is $12.50 profit or loss. One tick up or down in CL is $10.00 profit or loss. There are new versions of these contracts called micros which is 1/10 of the real contract. So one Micro ES tick is $1.25 and one Micro CL is $1.00 per tick. The micro CL won’t be available to trade until July 12, 2021 so I don’t know how the liquidity will be on it, but the micro ES has been a success. Start with sim, then micros. Subscribe to Axia on TH-cam. They have the best videos based on futures education. The only thing I disagree with Axia is they do a lot of scalping. I personally haven’t had success with scalping and I think it’s a losing game for retail, but I’ve found success when I focus on fundamentals. I’m 80% fundamental and 20% technical. So I daytrade on breaking news events or scheduled new events like nonfarm payroll, fed interest rate decision, oil inventory reports. I look for big misses from the forecast number. The last fed interest report was a great opportunity for quick short plays on ES, NQ (Nasdaq 100) and GC (Gold). Because I’m a news based day trader I only enter a trade 1-3 times a month. But I have to watch the market every day waiting and hoping for breaking news. So on each breaking news trade I can get $1,000 per contract / share within 12 minutes of opening the trade on ES and CL. The last CL breaking news play earlier this month I traded 5 contracts on it for $1,000 per contract profit. Do the math. But one day I’ll trade 40 contracts. If you get good at trading fundamentals and get 10 breaking news trades a year, trade 10 contracts (which is a lot) and profit $10,000 per trade that would be $100,000 per year off trading. Also trading futures has a better tax advantage over stocks. Feds tax futures as 23% plus state income tax.
      All traders are different so you may not agree with my strategy, but for the years I been trading futures your best bet with futures would be swing trading micros or day trading the fundamentals when they occur. Scalping futures and entering trades just because the market is open will put you in the 90% pile with the other losers. Also I trade with a news squawk service as well to alert me of breaking news. I have my charts set up in a way that I can see new volatility coming into the market that may be caused by breaking news and I can trade without the news squawk, but the news squawk gives me the extra confidence to enter the trade on heavier size.
      Good luck
