For me I like the look of the express better. Since the espresso quality is the same with both, I'll keep with the express.

The express looks more old style which makes it better looking from my perspective. I bought a black one but my only complain is the quality of the paint on the tray is very bad, its already pealing off. Keep it up Hoon, very nice videos!

Hello, how is the black paint holding up one year later ❔

In my country (Hungary) the price difference between the Sage Barista Express and Sage Barista Pro is only 24 dollars (~7000Huf), therefore i clearly choose the Barista Pro. (sorry, for bad english)

Thanks for the video. I purchased express for $450 and Pro for $660. Do you think it's worth to spend $200 more for Pro as I am a beginner and probably drink expresso 3-4 times a week?

I think I would miss the analog pressure gauge if I moved to the pro. How do you dial in the coffee on the pro?

Overall, the Pro doesn't really offer me anything over the Express, so even though it's just $100 difference, I'd still stick with my Express. I'm not a fan of the wonky water situation with that tool tray on the Pro and the lack of good cup heating kinda sucks, too as well as the group head not heating up like the Express. I do think having more grinder settings is nice, though, but if they are using the same burrs, I'm not sure it would be a big enough difference for me. And like you mentioned, I really do like the analog look over the digital. My husband would say he prefers the digital display and the sleeker look of the Pro, but I'm the coffee snob in the house, so I got to choose the machine. LOL =) Thanks for showing the differences, Hoon. That was a good side by side.

Hello I love your videos, learned a lot from you. I have Barisita Express had it for six years about year ago I replaced group head gasket and about two weeks ago replaced two solanoids I found out that I had to replace also the main board because it was no powering 3 Way solanoid. For the board I was waiting about one months I thought that I will not get it do decided to order the pro on Amazon, when was on sale I got it for $679.99 and then I got the main board. So I replaced the board then I noticed a small leak so I had to order o-rings with o-rings I also decided to order new water pump because it's only $23. So I replaced a lot of parts and it works fine but I have the pro that did not even open, and cannot make up my mind. Should I return the pro to Amazon and keep my express or sell my expenses on eBay and start using the pro? One thing I know I would be missing the pressure gauge.
But my express is 6 years old and the one I bought was a good price.

Thanks Hoon for putting so much effort in all of your videos. Ive so many videos on YT some people just make mediocre videos without useful information just for the sake of posting a video here. Thank you!!!

I would never buy an espresso machine without the analog pressure gauge, I honestly think the word Pro shouldn't be added to any machine that doesn't have it!

This Videos help me a lot in choosing which one to buy, i'll be buying the Express, right now at bestbuy its on $599 vs pro $849, price difference $250. P.S. breville have this offer right now if you buy their machine they will give you 12 to 24 bags of free bean. No Brainer! Thanks for the review!

Don't be bias. Obviously more pros on Breville Pro compared to express. Because pro is the improved version of Baresta express. Instead, you can take other brands that could face off against Barista pro perhaps De'longhi or Barsetto

Let’s do Maxwell house, Keurig and Folgers illustrations. I’m curious if that formation.

Bought the Barista Pro last week at Bed Bath Beyond and paid 164 dollars less. Used the twenty percent off coupon. Love it!

Hello, where did you buy it?

  • @milkandmuscles
    @milkandmuscles 3 ปีที่แล้ว

I feel like the startup time/ease of use should be a point for the BE because you generally just need to run one blank shot with it, to heat up cup/group head, then everything warms up while you weigh out beans, fill milk jug, etc.
But, it's only a plus once you've got a good routine going.
Maybe my opinion would change if I got to use the pro, very jealous. Thanks for the review.
