I just started my IGCSE Biology last night. I learnt all this you've just shown in lesson 1 and submitted my first assignment the same night. It's helpful to watch other videos explaining it in more detail as my course is online and classroom based.
Any tips for me; being home schooled and all?

you do not know how much i needed this playlist.
last year i binged a bunch of your chemistry videos the night before my chem test and although i didnt get what people would accept as passable i improved by alot judging from the last test
i jumped from 9/40 to 21/40 and i was very happy even though i knew if i worked harder i could've got more.
(i didnt get to finish watching all the videos that covered the topics that came in the test ;-;)
i ended up not studying at all for the next test though and got very very low so yea-
but now im in year 10 and im very determined to do better, because im starting to like sciences and maths more now that i'm listening in lessons (im especially interested in chemistry and physics!!)
i wish i could go back to year 7 when i was the cleverest in my class and when people would try compete with me in maths or when i would immediately understand what my teacher explained in science, but i everything backfired cus i was scared of failing. i hated failing so i stopped trying or listening so that i could have something to blame it on when i failed because i didn't want to think that i falied because i was incompetent. but deep down i knew that i was the reason.
i think this is why i can relate to this one anime character from assassination classroom because we are alike in this aspect. and i used to be very uptight but now im like way too laid back. (guess who they are)
now that i think about it i always had a problem with failing even back in primary when i renowned as the fastest person in my class and people would challenge me in break time to race and i would always refuse just in case they beat me or when i was the best in maths and usually got 98 to 100 in tests and i was so embarrassed when i came late to class and people were looking at my test score an i got 95, they were so disappointed in me and someone even got higher than me. i was angry that people looked at my score without permission and also angry and embarrassed at myself for getting so "low".
now that i think about it, that was dumb because 95 is a score that i would die for right now and why were they disappointed in me when they got way less than me??
    but yea, im dumb
i just wish my parents would approve of me and i wish i was clever lol
if you've read this far thank you for coming to my ted talk :D
AND GOOD LUCK FORR WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING OR WANT TO DO!!

🤔🤔 Isn't the fact "living things are made if one or more cells" enough to determine if an object is living or not? But thinking about virus (don't have ANY membranes), we can say that " living things are made if one or more cells where cells do have some membranes". This definition also answers WHY FIRE isn't a living thing. Why study all other characteristics when this definition answers everything?!
