    Stunning Brett great conditions shot well. I've not seen hore frost since escaping the grim North of England 17 years ago. Gonna be heading to the South Island in May cannot wait, counting down the seconds while stocking up on film, memory cards and hot soup. Top video mate enjoyed your efforts.

    Loved this vlog Brett! WoW! what stunning views/compositions you were blessed with. You took full advantage of the situation/conditions and the resulting shots were amazing.
    That van had me worried at 23.40 as it looked like it was slowing to stop in the frame. I was also thinking: Nooooo! Don't stop there!. ha! ha!. I must go with the 5.19 shot as it's just lovely! 18.50 also. Thanks mate, great vlog once again. 👍.

  • @sgurrtours
    @sgurrtours 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    All those images were fantastic Brett, I love a nice misty frosty shot. Again looks very similar to places near me in the Highlands of Scotland. I have a handy tip for you if you've never tried it or anyone reading this and what I've tried in the past which has worked out well. When I have a composition that I need to get up higher, I put my lens to 16mm, 10 sec timer, collapse the legs inwards, hit the shutter button and lift that camera up full arms stretched holding the bottom of the legs, now it's a bit hit and miss at times but you can get an amazing angle if you get it right, obviously you can't focus stack and depending on the lens F11 to 16 will give you enough sharpness to the edges. Give it a try and let me know how you get on. I think one of my images on my Instagram was taken like this, it's pretty cool.
    It's nice to find another photographer who isn't flipping British or American to follow, get very bored seeing the same thing on TH-cam. Great stuff, if ever you get over to the Highlands of Scotland give me a shout for a tour as I do the same thing as you taking tours around the local area 👍🏻👍🏻 keep up the great work.

    Nice work mate and blessed with those conditions and abundance of composition..I do like the shot of deep toned trees either side of the lightness centre at the bridge,magic...You choose f8 -f11 quite a bit rather than say f16 "my fave" is this in reducing distortion and/or because you can achieve more precise sharpness with the stacking of a wider aperture? Cheers
