Hey great question! I would have to see an image or short video to see the action you're taking. In general you need to create a column and then adding a container, row etc and then dropping your image widget in the desired section you want. I have a question regarding firebase, when you set up the billing plan to pay as you go i should add my credit card right? So what if I have to do an app to a customer? do i ask him for his credit card info to add it to the firebase thing😅? I don't think anyone would give me his credit card info obviously and using my own card is too much of a risk. I feel like I'm not getting this, could you please explain the billing plan for a database a little more?
Great question! You can handle this a number of ways but I would suggest your client give you access to their firebase project and you can set it up from there. You won’t have to use your credit card and the client isn’t sharing a password with you. Hey great question! You could definitely use flutterflow for your idea. I would recommend it if you’re trying to build an MVP but if I wanted to scale or have a platform meant for marketplaces I would go with Sharetribe Go and then later scale to Sharetribe flex

I recently started using flutterflow for an app i plan to launch. fairly new to no-code app creation & in getting familiar with the platfrom i've noticed that (on desktop) my app appears rather blurry... even in the beginning turorial for that travel app, dropping widgets in and seperate pages appear blurry. There is no 'Cloud Functions Admin' when I attempt to find that role. A user needs to ensure that cloud functions are enabled first before they can add this.

It depends on the exact features but that will be tough if you don’t have backend experience. Also depends if you want to use another platform and their APIs but again this depends on the functionality you want. In general any platform with billing or billing information it will be a harder app to build. Hope that helps take care!

Hey great question! That can be correct. You'll see the FF collections etc. but you still need to first setup firebase to integrate with flutterflow first. Then once you're in FF and editing collections etc. the changes reflect in a firestore database. Hope that helps!

Hello doc. I have a few questions. First, how can one access the admin side for these apps, to manage users, actions and authentications, profiles and all. Also, if I create an app with flutter flow, upgraded my plan to get the code and publish to the app and play store, do I need to continue paying that subscription to keep my app on the stores and also to continue managing my app and it's data. If you decide to leave and make changes to your app using flutter after you deploy your app to app store, you need to have an understanding how to make changes and the use of SDKs to maintain and update your app. Hope that helps!

I'd like to build an app for a golf course who employs golf instructors on a contract basis. I want the app to be a scheduler, where instructors can define their availability on a calendar, and the types of lessons they offer. Customers can see available times, request a lesson, and the instructor's calendar will automatically update to reflect the appointment. Lastly, i want the user to be able to pay through the app. Can flutterflow do all of this? Maybe another app is better?

Hey Doc, I'm planning to build a responsive website where the main functionality I need is a text planning system that can allow my users to fill out individual sections for their own creative planning. Kind of like a section-based (tight focus, one answer at the time) survey with (text and video) guidance, but instead of submitting their answers for someone else, they'll build a template for their own creative project that I want them to be able to see and print out as a whole. No questions in the final product, just their nicely designed blueprint (execution plan) for their project. I'll also like to give them user profiles, so they can organise, modify, edit all of their projects. My plan is to built a demo and a SaaS on it at the end. So my question: which builder do I need, if I don't like to spend too much time with learning? Thanks for this awesome tutorial though! Obviously subscribed :)
Oh, one more thing. I'm not a programmer at all, but I have built multiple brands using squarespace, photoshop, illustrator, premiere pro and lightroom. So I kind of a logical-based thinker when it comes to apps, not a visual artist type.
@@peterwolftips sorry for the late reply and thanks for the question! What you're asking, FlutterFlow might be able to do 80% of what you want but this use case seems best for Bildr. The trade off with bildr (bildr.com) is that the platform has a steeper learning curve than FlutterFlow. Depends on your time and bandwidth. I would prob do V1 in FF and then gauge your success with your audeince with the launch. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the video, I watched a few and they were quite helpful! I'm trying to build an app that needs to keep track and warn you of when different steps and tasks are due to be done. Think like a construction project where the frame of the house needs to be done at a certain moment, and when it is, it warns you when it's time to start painting and installing flooring. Kind of a task tracker but the length of the task would differ depending on the size of the specific project. And then, it would need to have an inventory tracker to let you know how much of which items you have left and when you need to replenish them. Would this be doable on flutter flow? Keep in mind I am quite new to no-code, but i am used to working with computer and using a bunch of different software Thanks in advance! Love the content

Notion is the current winner, but it still doesn't do a lot of the things I want to see or makes some things (reoccurring tasks) too hard. Are you asking if I'm using FlutterFlow for my own projects? I'm using it for one client at the moment. What are you trying to build? The platform isn't perfect for every use case but for mobile design I found it works for about 90% projects.
@@docwilliams Im working on management application, the only thing i don't like flutterflow is when testing with state it takes 2 to 3 minutes every reload. Testing with just UI is decent but testing with state and data is taking time. Or is it because my approach of using it is wrong?
I would have to know more about your data structure and like it for more details. For example what DB you're using if you're using other third party platforms like buildship etc. Depends on the amount of data and sources the reload might be impacted. Also depends on if you're just running test mode to increase the speed after making edits. Hope that helps!

I have a question regarding firebase, when you set up the billing plan to pay as you go i should add my credit card right? So what if I have to do an app to a customer? do i ask him for his credit card info to add it to the firebase thing😅? I don't think anyone would give me his credit card info obviously and using my own card is too much of a risk. I feel like I'm not getting this, could you please explain the billing plan for a database a little more?
Great question! You can handle this a number of ways but I would suggest your client give you access to their firebase project and you can set it up from there.
You won’t have to use your credit card and the client isn’t sharing a password with you.

Hey great question! You could definitely use flutterflow for your idea. I would recommend it if you’re trying to build an MVP but if I wanted to scale or have a platform meant for marketplaces I would go with Sharetribe Go and then later scale to Sharetribe flex

You'll see the FF collections etc. but you still need to first setup firebase to integrate with flutterflow first.
Then once you're in FF and editing collections etc. the changes reflect in a firestore database.

First, how can one access the admin side for these apps, to manage users, actions and authentications, profiles and all.
Also, if I create an app with flutter flow, upgraded my plan to get the code and publish to the app and play store, do I need to continue paying that subscription to keep my app on the stores and also to continue managing my app and it's data. I'm just confused in that aspect
Hey great question! Depends on the exact actions you're looking to perform but in general this depends on the backend database you decide to use such as Xano, rowy etc.

Regarding the pricing plan this depends if you're familiar how to code.
If you decide to leave and make changes to your app using flutter after you deploy your app to app store, you need to have an understanding how to make changes and the use of SDKs to maintain and update your app.

I'm planning to build a responsive website where the main functionality I need is a text planning system that can allow my users to fill out individual sections for their own creative planning.
Kind of like a section-based (tight focus, one answer at the time) survey with (text and video) guidance, but instead of submitting their answers for someone else, they'll build a template for their own creative project that I want them to be able to see and print out as a whole.
No questions in the final product, just their nicely designed blueprint (execution plan) for their project. I'll also like to give them user profiles, so they can organise, modify, edit all of their projects.
My plan is to built a demo and a SaaS on it at the end.
So my question: which builder do I need, if I don't like to spend too much time with learning?

Oh, one more thing. I'm not a programmer at all, but I have built multiple brands using squarespace, photoshop, illustrator, premiere pro and lightroom. So I kind of a logical-based thinker when it comes to apps, not a visual artist type.
@@peterwolftips sorry for the late reply and thanks for the question! What you're asking, FlutterFlow might be able to do 80% of what you want but this use case seems best for Bildr. The trade off with bildr (bildr.com) is that the platform has a steeper learning curve than FlutterFlow. Depends on your time and bandwidth. I would prob do V1 in FF and then gauge your success with your audeince with the launch.

Thanks for the video, I watched a few and they were quite helpful! I'm trying to build an app that needs to keep track and warn you of when different steps and tasks are due to be done. Think like a construction project where the frame of the house needs to be done at a certain moment, and when it is, it warns you when it's time to start painting and installing flooring.
Kind of a task tracker but the length of the task would differ depending on the size of the specific project.
And then, it would need to have an inventory tracker to let you know how much of which items you have left and when you need to replenish them.
Would this be doable on flutter flow?
Keep in mind I am quite new to no-code, but i am used to working with computer and using a bunch of different software

The platform isn't perfect for every use case but for mobile design I found it works for about 90% projects.
@@docwilliams Im working on management application, the only thing i don't like flutterflow is when testing with state it takes 2 to 3 minutes every reload. Testing with just UI is decent but testing with state and data is taking time. Or is it because my approach of using it is wrong?
I would have to know more about your data structure and like it for more details. For example what DB you're using if you're using other third party platforms like buildship etc.
Depends on the amount of data and sources the reload might be impacted.
Also depends on if you're just running test mode to increase the speed after making edits.

Great question. Depends on the exact functionality you need and workflow you want. If you have experience with APIs you could use third platforms like plaid.com in the app but it’ll really depend on what you want to do and what banks you’re trying to connect to.
Checkout Plaid’s API documentation and that should help you in the right direction.
