Good things come to those who wait! No doubt they will have a rail option. I have one of the original X9’s with a rail and I absolutely love it! But I think I’m going have to pick one of the solid frame models.
I am old and old school. That being said, I just love mine. I’m sure in the queue for continues improvement there will be more changes in the future. How ever I would not change a thing. I have a RMR on mine and it is far more accurate than I am off hand. I just can not say enough good things about this gun!

With the 10 round limit expanding to many states, and possibly soon a Federal law or Presidential order, it would make sense for Wilson combat to focus on smaller, slimmer models for 10 or 8 round concealed carry. Advertising a 13 or 15 round magazine could place a manufacturer and gun owner at a huge liability in lawsuits.
i live in Maryland... a 10 round state. the law DOES allow for a larger capacity magazine "kit" to be sold in the state. this merely means you get a mag shell, base plate, follower & spring. then YOU assemble this kit. _Voila_
The 1911 style ergonomics and slimness of the solid frame, combined with the trak pattern texture that make the best feature in my experience and shooting with it. Much better fit in hand than the EDC x9 grip to me.
Already have one and it’s phenomenal! I would love to add an orange outline tritium front sight from WC to it however, but I don’t know what correct height (170,.180, or .190) to order/install for this WC sft9 model to ensure the same correct POA/POI that it already has…any help/confirmation would be appreciated!!
Would like to make this my new edc for the next 10 years but i cant decide between it or the SFX9 with the coned barrel. I wonder if I can get the SFX9 but with the Trak design on the grip and wide serrations on the slide?

Wish I could afford one on my retired police pension...but I'll have to stick with my trusty old (ca. 1966) 1911 Govt. Model .45. That being said, my friend "Art" (as in arthritis) is showing up more and more these days, so a 9mm might be in the future.
I've tried reaching out to WC customer support twice now and they have no idea what concealment controls are, nor can they direct me to a product I can buy to make my EDC X9 or SFX9 IDPA compliant.
They do on the EDC guns. The X9 & SFX9 guns all use a more modern extractor and hood lockup for the barrel. The SFT & Experior all use a traditional 1911 topend: radial barrel lugs, traditional internal extractor. Hope this helps. Regards, Marky

It would be fantastic to have you set up a destination dealership near the factory in AR where one could spend a few hours getting a gun that suits, then order it for you guys to send it to an FFL in the purchaser's state.
I guess wilson is totally ignoring the 45cal guys that were their bread and butter when they first started. Oh well, we'll just spend our money somewhere else.

Sorry, I don't like it, especially for the cost. It's way too gaudy. I'd rather own a Kimber 1911 Stainless II, with an extra 10 round magazine. Even though this gun is 9mm. For the price, give me a Kimber II .45 ACP. I'll save a few K and be just, if not more accurate.
Guy's, I understand Y'all are trying hard to sell this thing but people really don't wanna pay 3,000 dollars for an outdated hammer fired 1911, especially not when it's overpriced like it is. It doesn't matter how much you paint, perfume, and add modern Tactical features that are already included on modern superior Handguns, it's still an outdated and undesirable design that's quickly losing demand. Hammer fired Guns are being phased out for a reason, Striker fired Guns were the proven/reliable solution to the shortcomings and flaws of exposed firing mechanisms in Handguns, they are here to stay and will only grow in popularity and demand with the Market in bulk as time passes. Y'all need to get with the program and introduce your own original Striker fired handgun preferably around an appealing design like the SFT9 only with the option of polymer grip frames at reasonable prices. This is where the Market demand is right now and nothing could benefit Wilson Combat better than introducing a much needed fresh Contender to the kinda stale and dry Sriker fire arena.

Why not use an external extractor?
They do on the EDC guns.
