Lelouch is one of the best anime protagonists I've ever seen. I have seen a fair bit of shit hitting the fan, but the fan got absolutely fucking BARRIED under the piles of shit just constantly dumping onto it. I was so emotionally drained after code geass that madoka majicka ( the next anime i watched) didnt even fucking faze me
if that didn't faze you oh god well I watched madoka magica a while after code geass so. but both are great anime S in my opinion code geass is something you really can watch once wait a few years watch again and understand it better and repeat because it's that good
+Pony With An AK from the beginning of akame ga kill you knew there was no happy ending for those guys, but you kept watching because of morbid curiosity on how it will play out. I actually cried when koro sensei died in Assassination classroom, because that was the only real time we experienced loss in the show. Code Geass was a constant barrage of shit getting worse and worse for characters we grew to love. Leaving me drained from the constant waves of despair.
I love this song and Animenz' arrangement so much! At 0:59, the gliss and then the impact of the powerful, thunder-like bass are a perfect combination. At 1:42, the notes are dancing beautifully together, like fragments of a falling meteorite crashing to Earth. At 1:56, there is conflict created between opposing sides, but in they end they become friends and do amazing things together. At 2:21, remembering the beautiful, sweet memories of the past, and At 2:35, looking to the shimmering future ahead.
I am crying.... Why does the anime end that way.... WHYYYYYYY!!! I SALUTE LELOUCH! FOR BRAVERY, HONOR, LOVE, AND FOR HEROIC ACTIONS NO MATTER HAD HAPPENED!

Man, i’ve watched Code Geass about 5 times, and listening to this brings me back to why I love watching the anime. You’ve really brought out the essence of the anime, the feeling we get, thanks Animenz. You are amazing
This cover gives me so many emotions. so.. 0:00 Beautiful start with the crescendo to what we know as the beginning that grows into a firm plateau for the rest of the song 0:30 This motif (If i can call it that. don't know.) just pulls us in to want to know more. It literally tells us "Hey there's more but im jumping ahead so lemme continue" 0:59 the short gliss to something we established in the beginning 1:07 A change in what we know, makes us feel a little vulnerable 1:10 I like what the right hand is doing 1:28 Our second verse showing off some cool moves (in sound) 1:32 Chills, Left hand leads us in the melody to remind us what we kinda already know in a variation 1:40 Back to right hand to lead the melody. We are seeing strong dynamics it's like "Did I miss something? I'm following I promise!" 1:50 I want to call this a riff so bad, reminds me of Deltarune. It dances around the ear and it ends in something we know again. Almost as if this specific group of notes is so important. 1:55 Stress thats building like a rising action like there is a problem that we're trying to solve but we're stuck and it's *stressful* 1:58- 1:59 We're building that stress even more like "What do I do?!" Then we hit our climax which brings us almost steadily down. (Reminds me of C2 helping Lelouche in a way 2:12 we know this so well don't we? 2:23 Why are we so quiet, every time I hear this it's quite triumphant. Are you trying to tell me something? 2:40 Similar but different. This isn't like you. 2:48 This is the killing point of the song, imo 2:50 feels like emotions and memories washing over you. Not really like nostalgia almost like regret, but it's still the backbone of what we know 3:16 Gorgeous way almost like a denouement of a story. Tying up the ends of the story we didn’t know 3:27 It's the end of the story. We know that. But it doesn’t feel like the end. The journey was amazing. 3:35 all I can think about is at the end of an anime when the characters are all waving smiling with tears in their eyes. (Of joy)

NettoSaito I just finished watching the original anime for the first time, and I keep hearing about Code Geass movies but I can’t find them anywhere online. Do you know anywhere I could watch them?
(This will be a veeeeery long comment this is only the introduction paragraph lol) So I don't really know if someone will read this, but after 3 years of playing the piano (since 2019), I was kinda wondering what to play. I'm self taught and been avoiding classical since the beginning even though I know I'll have to go there at some point, I've learned the piano through different Halo soundtrack piano arrangements (notably Kyle Landry's Never forget that I never managed to finish, god damn arpeggios from the end made me give up), and other arrangements from Kyle (Dearly beloved 2017 and Passion, Dango Daikazoku was the one that I really was able to play from beginning to end). The only piece I've been close to finish from Animenz was Toki wo Kizamu Uta from his Key medley (and I'll will come back to it sooner or later). So a month ago I decided "why not challenge myself and try to learn colors ? since i love that song (and that anime)". Well a month later, and I've come to realize how ridiculously hard it is to play this piece a tempo. (what will follow will be just me "analyzing" the piece rambling about struggling at around 100bpm when the song is 138, but for real I love this piece, even though I'm breaking my head and my hands on it). The intro and intro chorus felt like hell at first but in the end once you know them and understand the sheet they are pretty ok (at least imo). My first problem comes 30seconds in (first verse) because that damn left hand plays a C/Eb which is hell when you have little hands (and Animenz loves doing those 10 notes gap in his arrangements iswtg). That alone kills me cause 7/10 times I will play a D in between the two notes and well, sounds bad y'know. And then you have the little run from the right hand too which is, by itself in theory, pretty ok, but managing to get the right tone and nuance on it is uuuuurgh. Next is the pre-chorus, and that's where the madness begins. The right hand from the first part gives me headaches because I can pull it off at a moderate speed but then I fuck it up when I try to speed up (typical pianist problem), same problem when I try to play both hand at the same time. Getting the major 3rd (the Bb/Db) on the scheme is something that I really struggle with, as well as getting my hand to play on two full octaves. But then, there's the second part of the pre-chorus at 45sec, and that left hand omggggg that scheme is hell. I think left hand alone I can take it up to maybe 115bpm, after that my hand just gives up (I know it isn't all about speed but I'm attached to that). The really challenging part for me is that octave jump, the Gb to Gb on the next octave (is it a jump?) in the run and having to land on the right note just after that (the jump itself is ok, but finding the notes following is another story, especially on practically only black keys), but the theory itself is kinda straight forward though so it's progressing slowly with both hands. Then you get to 1st chorus, with a re use of the 2nd scheme of the pre-chorus at 1:07, which is difficult at first, because not the chord you're used to play that scheme on, but once you get the hang of it it just flows automatically. 2nd verse I was scared off, cause I ain't really that confident of my right hand when it comes to what he plays, but the more you practice at low speed the more it builds the finger strength so in the long term it should be ok. The three hand technic itself (I think it's what it's called) was kind of weird at first, especially when trying to get the melody above the different layers of the music, gotta learn to lean on thumb strength more.But all in all, same deal to be honest, the more you practice it slowly the better it gets with time (well duh). AND THEN, the mfing solo. Honestly 1:42 to 1:50 is something I was scared of but it kinda is ok I wanna say? It still is hard to be able to play exactly in time the more you increase the speed I'll admit that (keep in mind, I am still at 100bpm max at this stage with both hands). The right hand scheme of 1:50 tho oh boy........ I struggled at first to find a good fingering for this but then I just decided to go with the flow and found something that kinda works, but getting the thumb to switch notes on every 16th notes is awful, really gotta work the bounciness and wrist rotation a lot if I want to make it work (this one part I am stuck at smth like 75bpm, so far I can't do more as dar as the right hand is concerned). 1:57, the left hand once again is scary asf until 2:03 but in the end it kinda is ok I feel. As for the right hand, what might seem difficult is 1:57 to 1:59, the octave jumps, but it all comes down to muscle memory on this, the more you work on it the better it'll get. I've tried to get the entire solo left hand alone a tempo and that shit is a nightmare, albeit a very funny one not gonna lie, my hand wants to die but I've managed it once or twice. I've started to work on 2:03 to the end of the solo a couple days ago and it's getting there little by little. Same goes for 2:22 to 2:35. And that's as far as I've gone so far, I'll keep on working on this piece cause for real it's a really fun one to practice, and I feel like I'm making progress on the piece but also on my technics and expressions. When I'll be able to play it from start to finish a tempo tho ? I don't really know, but I hope and want to get there so I will work toward that goal. And lastly I want to thank Animenz for providing such good arrangements every time. Because I avoided classical pieces I was kinda lost when it came to what to play. But ever since I discovered the anime medium, and with that Animenz around the end of 2020, the over flowing amount of arrangements I discovered from him really made me want to improve and practice once again. So thank you for reignating the flame Kyle Landry first lit up when I was a kid 10 years ago Animenz (cause yeah it took me about 7 years to start learning lol), thank you for giving me and all of us the inspiration and dedication to play the instrument we love. Thank you if you've read this far, man you're dedicated if you've read all that

Never try to play Animenz or Kyle's pieces unless you are an expert. Trust I'm a beginner and I tried to play some of Kyle's pieces, didn't go very well.

At 0:59, the gliss and then the impact of the powerful, thunder-like bass are a perfect combination.
At 1:42, the notes are dancing beautifully together, like fragments of a falling meteorite crashing to Earth.
At 1:56, there is conflict created between opposing sides, but in they end they become friends and do amazing things together.
At 2:21, remembering the beautiful, sweet memories of the past, and

NettoSaito I just finished watching the original anime for the first time, and I keep hearing about Code Geass movies but I can’t find them anywhere online. Do you know anywhere I could watch them?
(This will be a veeeeery long comment this is only the introduction paragraph lol) So I don't really know if someone will read this, but after 3 years of playing the piano (since 2019), I was kinda wondering what to play. I'm self taught and been avoiding classical since the beginning even though I know I'll have to go there at some point, I've learned the piano through different Halo soundtrack piano arrangements (notably Kyle Landry's Never forget that I never managed to finish, god damn arpeggios from the end made me give up), and other arrangements from Kyle (Dearly beloved 2017 and Passion, Dango Daikazoku was the one that I really was able to play from beginning to end). The only piece I've been close to finish from Animenz was Toki wo Kizamu Uta from his Key medley (and I'll will come back to it sooner or later).
So a month ago I decided "why not challenge myself and try to learn colors ? since i love that song (and that anime)". Well a month later, and I've come to realize how ridiculously hard it is to play this piece a tempo. (what will follow will be just me "analyzing" the piece rambling about struggling at around 100bpm when the song is 138, but for real I love this piece, even though I'm breaking my head and my hands on it).
The intro and intro chorus felt like hell at first but in the end once you know them and understand the sheet they are pretty ok (at least imo). My first problem comes 30seconds in (first verse) because that damn left hand plays a C/Eb which is hell when you have little hands (and Animenz loves doing those 10 notes gap in his arrangements iswtg). That alone kills me cause 7/10 times I will play a D in between the two notes and well, sounds bad y'know. And then you have the little run from the right hand too which is, by itself in theory, pretty ok, but managing to get the right tone and nuance on it is uuuuurgh.
Next is the pre-chorus, and that's where the madness begins. The right hand from the first part gives me headaches because I can pull it off at a moderate speed but then I fuck it up when I try to speed up (typical pianist problem), same problem when I try to play both hand at the same time. Getting the major 3rd (the Bb/Db) on the scheme is something that I really struggle with, as well as getting my hand to play on two full octaves. But then, there's the second part of the pre-chorus at 45sec, and that left hand omggggg that scheme is hell. I think left hand alone I can take it up to maybe 115bpm, after that my hand just gives up (I know it isn't all about speed but I'm attached to that). The really challenging part for me is that octave jump, the Gb to Gb on the next octave (is it a jump?) in the run and having to land on the right note just after that (the jump itself is ok, but finding the notes following is another story, especially on practically only black keys), but the theory itself is kinda straight forward though so it's progressing slowly with both hands.
Then you get to 1st chorus, with a re use of the 2nd scheme of the pre-chorus at 1:07, which is difficult at first, because not the chord you're used to play that scheme on, but once you get the hang of it it just flows automatically.
2nd verse I was scared off, cause I ain't really that confident of my right hand when it comes to what he plays, but the more you practice at low speed the more it builds the finger strength so in the long term it should be ok. The three hand technic itself (I think it's what it's called) was kind of weird at first, especially when trying to get the melody above the different layers of the music, gotta learn to lean on thumb strength more.But all in all, same deal to be honest, the more you practice it slowly the better it gets with time (well duh).
AND THEN, the mfing solo. Honestly 1:42 to 1:50 is something I was scared of but it kinda is ok I wanna say? It still is hard to be able to play exactly in time the more you increase the speed I'll admit that (keep in mind, I am still at 100bpm max at this stage with both hands). The right hand scheme of 1:50 tho oh boy........ I struggled at first to find a good fingering for this but then I just decided to go with the flow and found something that kinda works, but getting the thumb to switch notes on every 16th notes is awful, really gotta work the bounciness and wrist rotation a lot if I want to make it work (this one part I am stuck at smth like 75bpm, so far I can't do more as dar as the right hand is concerned). 1:57, the left hand once again is scary asf until 2:03 but in the end it kinda is ok I feel. As for the right hand, what might seem difficult is 1:57 to 1:59, the octave jumps, but it all comes down to muscle memory on this, the more you work on it the better it'll get. I've tried to get the entire solo left hand alone a tempo and that shit is a nightmare, albeit a very funny one not gonna lie, my hand wants to die but I've managed it once or twice. I've started to work on 2:03 to the end of the solo a couple days ago and it's getting there little by little. Same goes for 2:22 to 2:35.
And that's as far as I've gone so far, I'll keep on working on this piece cause for real it's a really fun one to practice, and I feel like I'm making progress on the piece but also on my technics and expressions. When I'll be able to play it from start to finish a tempo tho ? I don't really know, but I hope and want to get there so I will work toward that goal.
And lastly I want to thank Animenz for providing such good arrangements every time. Because I avoided classical pieces I was kinda lost when it came to what to play. But ever since I discovered the anime medium, and with that Animenz around the end of 2020, the over flowing amount of arrangements I discovered from him really made me want to improve and practice once again. So thank you for reignating the flame Kyle Landry first lit up when I was a kid 10 years ago Animenz (cause yeah it took me about 7 years to start learning lol), thank you for giving me and all of us the inspiration and dedication to play the instrument we love.

Never try to play Animenz or Kyle's pieces unless you are an expert. Trust I'm a beginner and I tried to play some of Kyle's pieces, didn't go very well.
