We will use motion slip a little more this year because some teams are fitting runs off the sniffer in 2 back making it tough to run the ball vs good defenses.

You have to treat the man you are reading as play side and the lb in the box as backside. You are essentially blocking ISO so the center works away from playside

Coach, in your Run Pass Chess game video you had your center doubling the 1 towards the call in this you are saying to double the 1 away from the call, does the center and guard with the 1 always double or does the center go away from the call? Thanks I'm just trying hoping to use this so I was wondering so my lineman don't get confused.

    Cammer,
The idea is to read second level defenders and use pass routes to conflict their run pass responsibility. Throwing the flare doesn't put a ton of constraint on run pass assignment unless it's tagged with draw.

Hey coach. Just wondering about running the slip technique with a slot in motion the same way you were showing the 2 back set out of gun. I like the pistol Formation alot more from our Zeer/Zone Read because it gets the RB a head full of steam and I like the slip with the slot just wonder if you have any ideas of how that works. It feels like it would work in my head but in the game time im not sure if timing works out and just wondering if you have ran it that way before.

Thanks so much once again for the great information! We are currently running these option plays but we were having difficulty with the blocking schemes for each, thanks for showing us a better way...! Question: Coach do you call your offense strictly based off of down and distance or Boundary and Field side? Thanks in advance for getting back to me. Great Job Coach MacPherson!

I am a feel guy, i call the offense straight off of gut feeling. I spend a ton of time during the week analyzing my opponent to figure out what I think I am going to get by formation or down and distance or field/boundary. Once the game comes, i just kind of go. I never have a call sheet. I will from time to time script the beginning of games.

Coach you will be able to get your blockers further up the field and avoid the penalty. if the QB throws the flare laterally, because it becomes a run. PS Keep up the good videos

The blocking concepts are very simple and youth friendly. Depends on QB play. I will say these ideas are not as effective vs smoke and mirror defenses. Not sure what you see.
