Today I talk about the long lasting effect that X-Men 97 has had not only on me but the MCU as a whole! If you liked this video be sure to leave a like! Don't forget to subscribe for more videos like this one!
4:07 is EXACTLY how I feel. Wish they gave my girl Jessica Drew some respect in the Madame Web movie. But after watching I’m glad she’s not even attached the project. She deserves the utmost respect being the original Spider Woman. Her story is amazing in her growth in the comics. Would make a good movie or series done right. Also 6:36 made me LOL. Based.
Yeah its weird that Disney has this obsessed with hiring people on franchises they weren’t fans off, sometimes even hated. X-Men 97 was great cause Beau DeMayo actually loved X-Men. The sad part is Disney fired him. He finished season 2, but now I’m concerned about season 3.
Same here, I’m still not sure why he was even fired but I think ultimately it was a bad move. If you get people who love these characters to write something for you then you get award winning series like this one
@@Geek-WeekI have no proof but my gut tells me he got fired cause he didn’t fall in line. He loved these characters and wanted to show that love (I swear to god that’s not an OF joke 😂) That’s why he quit the Witcher after season 2. He didn’t like how they treated the source material. He’s admitted this. He didn’t try to subvert expectations.
Did you watch Ms. Marvel. I ask because you didn't mention it. It was good, a great character arc for her, great story line and introduction. As a woman I watched She Hulk all the way to the end, and well it was what it was. But Ms. Marvel was clever, fun and an enjoyment to watch.
I actually haven’t, after reading this I definitely will though! Thank you for commenting and letting me know :D Good character Arcs are exactly what these characters need

Tbh that’s what I’ve been thinking too, especially after Bob iger said Disney needed to stop “focusing on messages in the stories”
