Loved this era of Hardcore. I used to like Trance and Hard House so when Hardcore started being influenced by these sounds, combined with the BPM, I was in love! Much love to the 90's Hardcore, nothing will ever replace that, but the production quality was crystal clear with the newer sound.
It's really great to hear that Kevin, that you are a fan of both era's. So many people are on one side or the other. I love them both too, but this 2002 time was the pinnacle for me imo.
I like the OG HHC and love hearing it fused with the new stuff, but since I too like trance and bouncy hard house ala Wigan Pier, I enjoy 2000s era "trancecore" too.

Check out some Eufeion stuff, they has done some capture of the 2003-2004 sound with a few things lately (both re-creating the sound and remixing to more of today's sound). Specifically, I really enjoy This is the Night Remix, Fire Burning; but also don't sleep on their Beautiful Day or Imagination Remixes

Another amazing mix. Love the dig into the big kick era and early UK stuff. Right as I was getting into UKHC these tracks were pretty much the bread and butter as they were still kind of new...It's crazy to think I'm still here after all these years too, and I still rinse them out, old and new. Lovely vocal bits in there...I'd be lying if I said I didn't sing along to Born Again or Fires In The Sky 😁

I'll put it out there- Fires in the Sky is the best (alright one of the best) hardcore track ever written :-)
