  • The new Thule Hideaway Awning makes life simple. No longer do you have to stand on your tippy toes or reach for the stars to roll out your awning. Just break out the drill driver or winder and you're in business.
Paddy from Thule dropped by ARB Coopers Plains to demonstrate the latest addition to their lineup. Call into the showroom at 988 Beaudesert Rd, Coopers Plains to test one out first hand.

That's really neat. But there are so many pieces that I would eventually lose. :/

Looks like it is a part that is attached to the arm they give you to unscrew the awning by hand. If you look closely the the arm has a gold piece on the end that looks just like it :-) that's my guess!

@@Ross-ye3ep yeah but the arm that mine came with has that tip attached to the arm, there is no way to separate the tip from the arm.

@@hbt3575 oh no that sucks, I'm so sorry maybe I am wrong then. Perhaps they took it to a custom shop and got a copy made? I wish we knew!!

For anyone reading this, its a 9/16 socket. If you cant get the piece out of the end, drill the pop rivet and then pull straight out. Hope this helps.

It's called quality. Nothing about a car is cheap. And it's only $400. If that's too much for you, you need to rethink your decisions and find a better job if you're not too late by now.

@@WhiskeyToro where are you seeing it for $400? I’m only seeing listings for $1000

I saw this awning pics on the internet and I though wow then by looking at this video it actually looks awkward to put up. I can see the car scratched up with the drill because you are not going to drop the drill on the sand when at the beach, then the extra loose bits to the sides and the fabric flapping with the wind must be annoying because it doesn't attach to the side rails like the standard awning.
