Ok so first off I’ve been meaning to tell you that you are looking really great lately. I follow you on IG and all that jazz so yeah... very that. And second... cute furniture, love it so much! Just a little tip/pointer/you don’t have to listen to me BUT the table with the double G’s... I would MAYBE just move it and put a table that hides all the cords from your tv and all right there. It’s all freakin adorable just noticed that and thought I’d let you know. You could always just hire me to come and decorate with you. Just throwing’ that out there, the house...😘
Rich if you want true luxury reproductions, look online for your style (you may want to learn the real names). they cost quite a bit more but you will get hand made, hand carved wood of your choice, etc. love the mirror you have, but a lot of the stuff there is just....well, I'm not one to talk! i do think ONE piece can look nice, but an entire room of such lavish faux glamour ends up looking kind of cheesy...AGAIN, i respect anyone who dares to choose their own style and to hell with these overpaid decorators!!
Vlrissolo I tend to agree. Too much of this style can be overwhelming or clash with a modern apartment. I hope RL doesn’t later regret overbuying all these pieces. I think a couple of these statement pieces mixed in with a modern more “luxury” look pieces. Kartell or Ligne Roset are some excellent choices. Most luxury pieces you can’t take home same day. You are waiting months for the actual furniture to arrive. Most luxury stores won’t sell you the showroom display. Maybe make one room this style and go with a sleek European modern look for the rest. Unfortunately he will have a hard time reselling any of this furniture should his taste change or evolves. Theresa R. should help him with decor advice. Of course RL can do what he pleases, we just want him to be happy with what he buys and not have regrets later. My unsolicited advice is not to overdo it because if looks like a tacky gaudy hotel lobby. And also remember the quality. For $600 you’re not getting furniture that’s going to last a long time and the cushions are probably going to wear quickly.

Vlrissolo I would do one accessory chair and a mirror at the most. I have one small French royal looking chair I bought on Fondren St. it doesn’t go with any of my other furniture but it’s unique accent pierce and stands out on its own.

Rich honey, no the house! The reason why this stuff seems so inexpensive, is because it’s not well made. We had an identical store to this near where I used to live. Feel how lightweight the pieces are. Those big ass chairs should not be easily carried by one, hardworking lady such as yourself. You deserve quality the house! You deserve beauty and comfort.

This is only my opinion, but that lamp looks too modern to be next to those baroque chairs. You should move it next to your more modern looking table, it would fit better. I think you should get an area rug next to go with those two chairs.

I won’t lie....it’s giving me a little tick to see red/gold baroque French Victorian esque furniture mixed with lux silver and a modern colorful bubble doohickey. I think you could use all of those styles and pieces strategically but not in the same room. However my opinion doesn't matter honey!
