I love how many alumni were in attendance. There's no reason every single Islander shouldn't be invited to these. Kudos to the Islanders for making that happen.
They all get invited. Don Cutt was drafted by the islanders. Played a handful of games with the Oilers. None for islanders. He was there.
@@HandsomeRick79That's awesome. I don't know for sure, but I recall a time where the franchise used to snub some alumni. Like, a lot of players seemed to be in a "feud" with ownership/management and didn't show up to these gatherings.
Everything changed for the better when Wang took over.
(forgive me if I am making all this up... but the 90's was such a sour time, and that is just how I remember it. Which is nuts, because they were only 10 years removed from being a dynasty)
As a diehard Ranger fan, it's very cool to see the Islanders bring all these guys back to be celebrated.
Great to see the these former Islanders players, bring back great memories hearing their names.
I was at the alumni weekend in 2019 before covid the guys Couldn't have been nicer they all gave pictures I took a picture with Clark Gillies John Tonelli Alexi Yashen Bob Nystrom and Pat Flatley amongst others Don Cutts was there too very good and Is nostalgic evening

Man the Islanders have dressed some legit enforcers over the years.
Vukota, Webb, Trevor Gillies, Jason Simon, Mike MacWilliam, Konopka, Kip Brennan, Cairns, Graeme Townshend, Darryl Bootland, Justin Johnson, Kevin Colley...just a few of the guys there.

He was even kinda plump when he played. Some athletes have a real tough time after retirement. The hockey was their exercise routine.

Don Cutts. He was a goalie.
Cutts played college hockey at RPI ib the early 70s, a bit before my time lol... (I used to live right near there and went to a lot of games in the 80s).The arena where RPI played would host the Isles AHL team in the early 90's. Cutts would only play 6 games in the NHL, none with the Isles.
