I can imagine that is a lot busier than my local town. We are hoping to visit my wife's hometown in the Netherlands in May, near to Utrecht. A perfect place for such a video I think.
just had a self service on my road bike and always checking before going on a ride. Dont want anything to fall off or break during a run :) have met several guys recently stranded that havent done anything to their bike since their last ride 2021... PS.. on that cx does it need a break bleed or new pads? looked a bit loose/soft :) nice to see you have some warm weather...here in oslo it have been coooold :(
You are like me keep your brake levers quite close to the bars, never understand why so many people leave them in the default position they are so far away you really need to stretch to get to them. I like being able to ride comfortably with a finger on the brake just encase
I really love this too, it does mean when the pads run down it can get exciting, but for 95% of the time I really do prefer not ever needing to reach for the brake.
Saw a video by Peak Torque yesterday. Amazed at the cost if running disc brakes. Why isn't this being publised? Or are lots of people stuffing their discs without realising it?
I'm not sure what the costs refer to, but other than replacing pads a little less often than I did with rim brakes and a £10 bleed kit I bought years ago, I've honestly never spent a penny on maintaining disc set ups.

Because we want some space left if we wanna pull harder. I hate feeling like they’re hitting the bars when I may want more brake
