- in this video the johnston farm equipment sent out a massey Ferguson 7720s and 3130f combi baler for us to have a look at in action, have to say very impressed by it and it did a fantastic job, big thanks to johnstons farm equipment for sending it out

The tractor baler-rapper was impressive but would of liked to see ether you or father Phil having a go. Or both Phil's having a shot oh this yoke. Am sorry Phil but our Fusion3 would love this baler-rapper in the shadows. Its slow. Great video Phil

I shall never use this kit in now on but as interesting as if I was was been given the demo together with the drne footage just brill, Althought out of the game now it has brought me fwd 15 years . If a man is farmer/contractor at heart ,he/(or she) is always so! Just great keep at it I am back in the yard or on the seat about the land sgain. virtual /fantastic and I never leave the old house.

Fine yoke, mchale should give you a demo of a fusion 3 with the film on film, i hear good and bad about them but nearly any fella that goes onto it doesn't come off it

Is there room in your area to expand the contracting phil
Deadly slow on the transfer, Fusion 3 won't be beaten on transfer speed i.e. bale chamber open, baler ejected onto wrapping table, chamber closed. I wouldn't have the patience for that. McHale fusion 2 a great baler, my advice is run yours on as long as you can. McHale still needs to sort the pickup out, the new camless pickup still poor on lumpy heavy crops. Silage wagons have a great pickup, its about time that balers were improved too.
Keep your Fusion 2 and try to keep your customers off NFR and content with net for as long as possible. Buy a low bale count fusion 2 from mainland UK and run alongside your old one.
Fusion 2 is the king of balers wrapers

The wagon pickup have the edge over the baler. The v rotor takes in grass better than the conventional one.

Moving parts means breakage. Something this farm has enough of already. Justification: great for contracting out to make extra coin, besides use on the fields the Phil's have. There are probably quicker baler/wrappers out there, cus the transfer seems really slow.

Have to say it makes a very impressive bale even in leafy grass like that. However, the transfer speed is very slow. I would imagine if you are used to a fusion this would be very annoying. Otherwise a nice job.
Story guys Did anyone see dat review Donkey man done on the Pottenger Baler combi? Some machine it seems. Also did anyone see Tom prems baling vid last week the dude had a Kuhn combi n I notice the wrap switching to the middle of the bale and back around. Which one is BEST???????????????/

Very, we always bought welgar/ lely , a bomb proof baler that made the tightest bales.
Stick to McHale Phil but stay away from the + , the barrel wrap is a right pain in the hole ,the can pickup is much improved and the netter is better than earlier models , savage yield from a roll of net

@@Karen-rp6qr pottinger was different due the that being a demo day where only a handful of people where on it as for Johnston they been out to many many people over the summer with that outfit if they where to deep clean that machine each time it would cost more in the grand total then it would be worth

It all looks good except for the wrapper extension at the back. They all seem to fall down there except Mchale who have it nice and tidy.
MATE you are so right on this one. All these Irish boys think that Mchale is the Dogs bollocks and nobody but them can make a baler wrapper.
Shane Mulvihill Mchales stick out too far and often get dented or bashed coming in gates. The system on this is tidy and doesn’t seem to have big flaws of what I can see
Bale transfer is too slow, needs to be dropping onto the wrapper to improve efficiency
That can be sped up it normally set slow when u buy any baler
I wonder if you can take the wrapper off ? It is an animal to take grass by all accounts n makes a fab bale . He did say they are very easy driven . They look a fantastic baler to be honest , Massey Badge looks fantastic , very stylish design of a baler . If AGCO put their money where their mouth is , put that out on demo with Father Phil for 3 months next summer see what that baler could do up against a Fusion . It sure would be good for the Brand ☘️

Lovely outfit surely but €240,000 is madness. U cud set urself up milking for that money and have it for 12 months of d year. Price of machinery is gone stone mad
The price of milk will drop where will all these boys that only got into milk be then to much money in concrete and steel at least you might move on a machine in hard times🤔

Baler is 80k and tractor 140k and yes my bad it’s 220k but it’s still alot😂

One roller on the bottom pure disaster with a bit of wear and I know of someone who bought the baler version at start of season and nothing but hassle with single roller bearings shagged already of coarse Massey had to change lely/weldger logic of 2 rollers

Stil think a vicon fast bale is the best but McHale is so over rated just cause it's a local brand
The fast bale is for flat land not hilly and is far heavier
The whole concept of a fastbale is non stop baling. That concept is completely wasted in Ireland as you have to stop and reverse on hills to drop the wrapped bale off accordingly to the slope of the hills. There's not too many places you'll bale 10,000> bales/year in Ireland on flat ground! Fastbale great on flat fields where you can drop the wrapped bale off on the move.
To buy one in Ireland would be like buying a Lamborghini car when your only going to be driving on the motorway
