    This video is a wealth of information for the humane care of bison. They shouldn’t be treated as pets but as a valuable wild resource.

    Very educational. I do not know how I discovered this channel, but I am elated I did. Very professionally done, and great training. It is funny because since long ago when I first paid attention to a Bison, I was completed suprised as to their beauty and power. After a closer look, I could not believe how elegant and Majestic they are. Thank u so much for sharing this information, and great job mate. I support ur channel one 💯 💯💯. God Bless u.

    Good info . I raise bison and I'm happy to see they are pushing low stress handling throughout this video. And the constant value of respect for the animal as well.

    Great video: focus on safety for bison and human. The many hazards are interesting and well covered--forr the only North American mammal.

    As a kid back in the 50s, I wanted a herd of wild buffalo when I grew up. So glad I did not follow my dream. Those bisons takes a lot of work and equipment. And Dangerous. I did get to work with cattle.

    I know they get injured sometimes. It's heartbreaking. I wish they'd just understand that nobody's trying to hurt them so they would not hurt themselves in the process 🙏

    I hope you got help for the severely injured calf with his intestines bulging out and the one with a badly injured eye. Those are not minor injuries.

    • @sarahcarrothers1971
      @sarahcarrothers1971 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry my dude, but the intestines injury is a euthanasia case. Treating it surgically would require a long time in quaruntine with high infection and reinjury risk- so trying to keep that fellow alive would be more cruel than putting it out of its misery. They go over appropriate and human euth in the last 20 minutes of the vid

    Bison are not pets period, never entertain the idea you are so unique and with so much knowledge that you could turn this wild creature into a pet. Indeed, ignorance comes in many different shapes and sizes, some have tried and failed, either that or got killed.

    How are they ree ranging when they are fenced in.

    • @brainsmall
      @brainsmall 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Free range means they have plenty of room to roam. This is humane. If they didn't care about the animals, they'd keep them locked in cages

    LA FE VERDADERA SALVA, Y LA FE VERDADERA PRODUCE LAS BUENAS OBRAS.... PERO LO QUE DETERMINA LA SALVACION ES LA FE EN JESUCRISTO.... LA RELIGIOSIDAD PUEDE PRODUCIR OBRAS PERO LAS OBRAS NO SALVAN NI LA RELIGIOSIDAD, LAS BUENAS OBRAS NO PURIFICAN PERFECCIONAN MAS LA FE... PERO SI SOS RELIGIOSO NI AUNQUE HAGAS MILES OBRAS, NO CAMBIA NADA, MAS BIEN EMPEORAN LA RELACION CON DIOS.....

      Really, im sure the people making all the major decisions for these animals and other issues are a mixture of races. Stop being racist and blaming white people for all the problems in the world. It's the rich of all colors causing all the problems.

    I just don't u derstabd in Canada they wants to protect the bison and we have less than 17000 bisons and they are hunting them. Can someone explain me please how the hell they wants to protect our bison by hunting them when only we have a few ones?

    • @nmelkhunter1
      @nmelkhunter1 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe the hunts are limited and used to control population levels. It could be that the carrying capacity is limited to a certain number of individuals. Your question is really best asked of your game and fish agencies as well as your department of agriculture.

    I like this but there is incoherence between the term "humane" and the inefficiency with which the animals are handled. I personally don't believe in such a vacuous term as "humane".

    'Kill Every Buffalo You Can! Every Buffalo Dead Is an Indian Gone'
    Those were the words of a U.S. Army colonel in 1867. Eight years later, General Phil Sheridan went as far as to commission medals to reward anyone who brought pelts from dead bisons.
