Greetings good people. I have a suggestion and this is the way I have my house wired: My DB is divided into 2 parts. All plugs in the house supplying fridges, ovens, Microwave ovens and such heavy current devices are wired directly to grid input. All lights TV and computer plugs are wired into the inverter supply. Yes, I said fridges too. You will be surprised how much current they draw all together. They can stay frozen for a couple of hours. That way, everything that doesn't need power doesn't get power during load shedding while the things we usually need stay on. It's a great excuse to go outside and have a braai.

Is one suppose to.let batteries run flat every now and then?..
    How long can batteries last?
I get invertor not coming on "overload" but simply can't be from what is connected.. my internet/ 1 study lamp and some plugs so I can keep my phone and laptop charged..
    What could be the reason..
Have put invertor on and off as well....
    Any help appreciated..
    Thanks

the batteries should run flat each day normally unless you have set a higher level of reserve power? There is normally always something on that will be causing the overload, best to turn off all circuits in your DB board, restart your inverter and bring them on one at a time to find out which one is creating the overload.

my inverter is 5kVA and its overload capacity is 5.5kVA. but my inverter turns off if i put load greater than 4kVA.and as soon as i decrease the load 200watts it turns back on itself. i don't understand what is the main issue. i am using good wires with thick gauge and even the distance between batteries and inverter is not more then 1 meter. ive done everything from diagnostics to hard resetting it but nothing worked. the provider told me that i am putting extra load but i know i am not. what might be causing the issue is still a mystery

Hello! Great video, thanks for the explanation. I have just one question, have you ever experienced an Overload fault when the battery pack reaches 100% charge? I have an 100% off grid house and my Solax inverter or battery controller isn't cutting off the charging when the batteries are at 100% and the system enters in Overload.
