I used to dislike and despise people who are addicted to alcohol and drugs thinking they are just weak and giving up. They are so deceitful and selfish, causing harm to the ones who love them and care about them. Then I learned that they are struggling and they are tormented with the disease, the guilt and the shame. Someone who’s hard to love may need it most. Sad and hopeless situation to see the addicts who will do a lot just to get a fix.

It's a thing that a lot of people don't want to understand until it affects them in some way. Either through a loved one or yourself. Most who haven't been affected look at people who are going through it with contempt, and tbh people are like that with a lot of things they haven't experienced themselves. Mental health illness in general is looked down upon. Like does anyone really believe a person with a happy life that's not experienced physical or mental trauma becomes addicted to substances? My guess is her home life wasn’t that great and removal from her mother’s home into a competent, healthy, loving home would have (maybe) helped. But foster homes like that are very rare. So the likelihood of her getting what she needed would be slim to none.

I know someone who lies like that ,no rhyme or reason to it ,there wasn't this awful childhood. we have a relative that lies constantly. I suppose most children will try out a lie to avoid any challenge to their bad behaviour, but her lying was never like that. She would lie about things that didn't matter. The best reason we can guess is that she isn't very bright (and knows it), so this behaviour is her way of trying to always seem cleverer than whoever she's talking to. She prefers to lie even when there is nothing to gain. She wasn't in an abusive family as a child, but she probably got into traumatic situations as an adult though none of her family are likely to find out the truth about anything. The constant lying has turned her into a person that most people would never willingly spend time with. She's in her mid 40s, so that's not going to change.

    • @deejames1st
      @deejames1st ปีที่แล้ว +2

@@mandolyn You never know what goes on in another’s home. Even if you’re in that same home. Things can be hidden quite well, leaving others unsuspecting of what is really going on.
Someone that is “born to lie” is often a psychopath. A true psychopath is rare. Bundy was the closest to that we have seen in recent times. This woman was not like Bundy.
I found it odd that the Mother in this case said the child was taking things that were not hers at age two, yet in none of her statements, does she hold herself accountable as the parent.
At two, a child often mimics what they see in their own homes. They’re just beginning the process of learning what it is to be in society - from their parents/caregivers.

Setting aside her disappearance, what strikes me is how this young woman displayed troubling, asocial behaviors from a very, very young age. It seems that her life went downhill almost from the get go. Why? What was part of her makeup? Was it emotional, or was it something like her brain was wired wrong? Meaning, was she born that way? Although obviously not condoning her actions, the whole thing is sad.

The best thing about this analysis is the stunning sequence of alliteration by the savvy psychologist while summing up the sad story of the still missing Tiffany. Her life was a mess from the beginning when the adults in her life failed her on so many levels. Even before the addictions of substances, she was addicted to taking things. I don't believe a 2 year old believing those toys were hers should be counted as "theft" as that stage of childhood development involves lots of magical thinking. However, if she was constantly being labeled a "thief", she may have come to believe it of herself, and lived up to the label. As my grandmother used to say, "If you've got the name, you might as well have the game." I would love Dr Grande to try and analyze Tiffany BEFORE drugs. As always, insightful analysis of a disturbing case.❤

Whoever she ran into after fleeing the scene definitely may have took advantage of her desperate situation which unfortunately ended up in her demise. Ashley on the other hand I don't think he killed her they were partners in doing drugs together. He was probably high too that night at Walmart. That lifestyle if continued has no promising future. Sadly Tiffany didn't get a second chance to find that out. I really don't think she's alive after all this time. How are substances abusers looked down upon by police who are doing the substances? I see the total opposite. People are getting harmed all the way around

You want to know what stood out to me? Well I'll tell you anyway: 'when Tiffany ran out of the Walmart ,no one chased after her...' it was almost as if no one in here life cared enough to rescue her. 😢

I'd say that she got karma if she tried to do evil to one of her victims and the victim overpowered her in self defence and won the fight. She got what was eventually coming to her. She learnt the hard way that it wrong.

She might have known a couple people who could have helped her out afterwards that were addicts too.
Considering how unhinged she was, it is unlikely she would have the discipline to hide out and avoid people recognizing her.
I am curious where what the most likely place people go when in these positions.

I think he lied about pulling weapons on store security because in the culture of people in the drug scene, he would be considered a punk or a snitch even if he didn't resist them or assist in her getting away.

I reckon she probably hailed down passing cars until she found a willing john she could make some money off to then obtain more drugs. Probably she was murdered by him, or subsequently ended up somewhere else where she might have met her demise.

I lost my leg when I was 3 years old. When I was 51 I realized I would need a wheelchair to get around my house without my leg on.
I had a telephone interview for the the wheel chair and the lady asked me how I got around the house all these years. I said, "I hopped"
She asked me, "Why can't you hop now?"
I answered, "Well, International house of pancakes went out of business."
She was like "What does that have to do-" Then a long drown out Ooohhh and she started laughing.
The real reason I can't hop as much any more is, I was 51, and I'd been hopping on one leg for 48 years.

A pathological liar and her boyfriend...
Given the scant evidence and that Ashley hadn't according to reports not enough time to do anything harmful to his partner, it is likely that she decided to leave the state because it was another in a long line of offences that would send her back to jail for a very long time.
The boyfriend should have reported her as missing even if the police were dismissive or at the very least told the mother or family he had contact with.
I would wager that she is living under a different name to avoid the authorities.
