@@Bob_Smith19 I agree about the pi4 being good pairing for a arcade cabinet. If you want a high end arcade cabinet a PC with launch box is the way to go. I had major issues getting joysticks working with ps2 and GameCube....but for ease of use a pi4 is amazing
It was like a month ago. I SUBSCRIBED to this channel because of 2 mini pc giveaways. After watching his videos I don't care about giveaway anymore. Cool videos.
Id like to see some content about optimized games and how low you can go w/ PC specs. One game I would like to see is WoW Shadowlands as there are some variations between the actual specs and what hardware actually runs the game (lower hardware appears to run it better than people think). It would be neat to see that and other games compared between a few systems including lower end hardware (good for this climate where new hardware is hard to get).
Not a very meaningful performance increase, since it is almost identical with 4700G on the GPU side (even with 2200G). The real innovation and jump in performance would be with *6700G Rembrandt, since it will come with 12 CU based on RDNA2 and DDR5 support. Unfortunately, we are at least a year away from that release.
Not all of it for a playable experience but it can do a lot. It's an igpu with some driver stability issues that almost reaches GT 1030 performance which is amazing for such a small form factor. I just don't want people to get carried away with expectations.
I love your channel. I don't think ill buy any name brand consoles anymore. Im just gonna emu all the way and that Xbox controller just works perfectly. I love the dpad.
I've just ordered the NUC11TNKi7, 64GB RAM, and 1TB SSD. 😊 It's very hard to get hold of one in Denmark where I live. They are sold out everywhere. I would have liked the NUC11TNKv7 but it was impossible to find it in stores.
After I was unable to purchase a Phantom Canyon (two orders, both turned out to be vapour), I bought a Tiger Canyon BNUC11TNKv70000 with the i7-1185G7 decked out with 64GB 3200MHz RAM and a 2TB Sabrent Rocket 4 Plus NVMe, and I've had it for over a month now. Pros are that the 11th gen is a bit more snappy (the older 8th gen NUC wasn't at all bad though), more RAM, and an additional USB-C/Thunderbolt/Displayport alt mode. The benefit of a PCIe4 drive isn't noticeable for any practical purposes. Cons are (a) no SD card slot (b) too few USB-A ports (c) 4K IGP video rendering is actually _slower_ old i7-8559U, (d) no headphone socket, and (e) no external WiFi/BT antenna option. Initially I had a couple of random blue screens but they seem to be a thing of the past now, presumably the Iris Xe drivers are now more stable.
