In Hip Hop battles I sometimes see popping, animation and tuts. Are they part of Hip Hop? I don't dance I just like to watch dance battles.
Rice Ball is MUCH cleaner than Kefton, but Kefton has improved in this one aspect the most IMO over this year - and that aspect is what won him the battle and that most dancers are missing. He gets your imagination going. He tells a story, communicates to your emotions, dude knows how to pull it all together so you have those moments where you're thinking "I see what he's trying to do but can he pull it off..... ....... yup he did".
Tell me in a paragraph what kinda story you saw cuz I saw none lol, at the end of the day every dancer does moves and connects them. I saw that Kefton had tons of emotion going on and it was great to see, but imo people over-exaggerate when they say they see a story in a freestyle. If I were to choose between listening to someone that yells at me between every 2-3 few sentences vs. someone that tries to communicate in a relaxed, comprehensive manner, I'd choose the latter. That's essentially how I viewed Riceball against Kefton.
