I have had a crap load of files both on my external and inside my pc. This is a Windows 10 Laptop. These files are exact to video. The folder WITH files inside will NOT delete no matter what I do. I been stuck with them for years as I spent ages in research to no luck in remove. I got 3 more of these error tonight on stuff I downloaded. So to say I am at war again to find fix. I got this hit to you now. You Sir, solved the problem... Thank you. One MUST pay attention close to the vid. It took me alot of attempt. I started to just remove the folder and kept saying path not found. I went to the files inside and copied address and works... Then I can delete the EMPTY folder just a simple delete. Now.... What I want to know is- how the hell to remove a -EMPTY FOLDER- WITH THIS ERROR IN VIDEO?
As an addendum, I was just having this issue. Firstly, any time I've seen this issue crop up to begin with is when there's a space at the end of a folder name, especially if it's a folder imported from MEGA or similar. If this is the case for you, and you get the "cannot find the file /path specified", don't forget to add a space at the end of your path!
I have this 'problem file' on a desktop (not in any folder) It is a white blank file cannot be delete , cannot be moved , it's an annoying white rectangle on my desktop. I accidentally create this file while trying to export bookmark from google chrome into a desktop shortcut and it's in non-english language. So long story short I search google , use 2 different cmd method , install some program that claim can recover and then delete the file , install some program that trying to delete the file by going in to safe mode automatically , nothing work... until I found this 1. right click to that file 2. add it to winrar archive(turn it into zip file) 3. rename it and tick the box that say 'delete the file after archiving' 4. delete the winrar file that was created So if anybody have similar problem with me plz try this.

what if its not a folder, but instead a file? its giving me the error "the directory name is invalid"
