It was a pathetic way to make content and thats basically all repentance, antibirth + some new item synergy’s and canon dlc, pretty disappointing, would seriously be real shit if edmund and the binding of isaac team didnt give any credit or pay anything to the original creators of the mod
To add onto my previous statement, literally none of the new areas are actually new as they are all carbon copy of antibirth, nothing new was added to them beyond antibirths additions and half the items arent new either as they also came w/ antibirth, its really just a husk of what it was as Edmund nerfed a lot of things while trying to bring others things up

What do you mean, "give credit" he literally hired the guy behind Antibirth.
Also, yes they went overboard with the nerfs but
1) it was your choice to spoil yourself with Antibirth, I didn't do that for example
2) The DLC was supposed to be just an Antibirth port, so why did you get hyped
3) Wait for Ed's response to the backlash on balance, I believe he will do the right things.

1. When antibirth dropped nobody knew it would be the essential entire shell that is repentance so no real way of knowing i’d be “spoiling myself”
2. Its literally just a port made canon, nothing unique beyond Antibirth
3. I didnt originally know it was going to be an antibirth port and iirc i never remember Sin saying anything bout it being an antibirth port if he did then i missed it but i also never did my own research
Its upsetting to know that thats all repentance is rn, as for the balancing, that can obv be changed has time goes on so thats not a big deal but its like he dropped the ban hammer and said “nah just heavy nerf”

i think it would have been poetic to have satan actually cry for isaac's suffering. Lucifer depending on how you interpret him was essentially the black sheep of the family in a way before he rebelled against heaven from how i interpret some of the stories surrounding him.
No it shows satan dosen't care about him that he's there to push him over the edge just like his mom and is just there to keep him in his own disturbed mind

@@Jacob1451_Kapnobatai thats a neat idea! imo i dont think it would fit super well into tboi's depiction tho. to me its more of the idea that religion used badly brings in more evil than it fights against. which is what i got from the devil appearing to isaac after he gets locked away when his mom turns back to blind faith to fix her problems instead of addressing them. leaving isaac even more vulnerable to turn to 'sin' as he has even less support after that.

Pretty refreshing to see a chill Sinvicta video that isn't on the Eden streak. I love the streak, but this feels so much more comfortable to watch.

As someone who is photosensitive I AGREE whole heartedly that the sudden flashing is something that needs to be changed. I can't play parts of the game if I have to worry about the game making me sick or giving me a migraine.

It was dark as hell, which I often detach from isaac cause I never played it for the story but I strongly dislike how much I relate to that sort of crazy mom thing he has going on

Hot take the game is to reliant on devil deals and tier 4 items because there are 100's of useless items that you might as well just not take.
@@weaselly_moment I'm pretty late to this, but, that was before repentance was added. Afterbirth+ sucked due to that reason, item bloat. Repentance fixed that issue.

You're probably noticed this by now, but in case you haven't: Immaculate Heart's tiny planet tears are extra, it doesn't change your normal tears other than the damage.
I really watch every episode of the streak and I like of all youtuber Sinvicta the most, because he is such a genuine dude, but I must admit he sometimes has some pessimistic or whiny tendencies, which then hurt the quality of the videos. I know his struggles with sleeping etc. but it is something which I noticed in a couple of occasions.
Anyway I am looking forward to the Repentance content and I feel like Repentence just delivers the challenge Sinvicta needed!

loved watching the run as always, though I wish you uploaded your first games. skipped over a lot of new stuff here without talking about it and I felt lost at times lol
Gotta say, Tuesday was something to behold. Been around for awhile and I have never seen the Mosh Pit so amped up. Once the Hype train started and the subs war engaged there was no stopping the Mosh Pit. That was the most entertaining stream I've ever been a part of. You could feel the support for you pouring out of the scream. Look forward to seeing more of Repentance. I don't play Isaac but thoroughly enjoy watching you play both on Twitch and YT.

First off, this was an insane run! I loved every second of it. Secondly, I’m pretty disappointed that Mausoleum no longer plays Machine in the Walls by Mudith. If it did, I would’ve bought this dlc 3 times over (not that I didn’t already buy it lol); kinda sad that I won’t be getting to hear that absolute banger every run :(
I dont know if you will read this but: you can guarantee angel rooms in the next floor if you skip the devil deal room without entering

I think that's why a lot of isaac players are saying they don't like it. It's very alien. I think eventually once we understand the DLC better we'll all be praising it like it's god or something

I'm so sad they nerfed everything, you can't get black hearts off of serpent's kiss, the virus, athame, and maw of the void. Too much pain.
They nerfed the overpowered items, and buffed the underpowered ones. Exactly what the game needed really.
I’ve gotten black hearts from serpents kiss I think. I could be remembering wrong but it does seem a lot more rare

Well, not all OP items have been nerfed. Take a look at Brim+Parasite, it's flat out broken if you pair that with Jacob's Ladder, Mutant Spider and a few tears ups and you're set!
The game is still easily playable. The items will no longer carry you by their own, though.

Devil Deals seem risky because health is rarer and the enemies/floor/bosses are new and harder. After getting used to them, devil deals kinda settle back to where they were

While i am happy that the game is more balanced all around, its also kind of disappointing because a lot of that hype from streams and youtube vids came from those super strong runs.

Yeah I've been playing it since hour zero and while it's really interesting the nerfs are too much, I'm very glad about angel deal buff but the devil deals got nerfed into oblivion, shops are trash, normal mode in repentance feels two times harder than hard mode in AB+ etc etc

I love how all the tiny changes around repentance makes the game a lot harder, don't blame Ed, actually im thankful for this higher difficulty gameplay, i really really was fan of his ab+ eden streak series, and i always will be, but .... this is way more interesting and insane. Love it.

@@stanleystanley6456 yeah people have been getting the 1001% completion out of nowhere, thats a pretty strange oversight but shit can be perfect on launch right? just give it some weeks and maybe theyll change back the most controversial changes and hopefully fix things like this, but regardless im enjoying it so far
After watching all of Ed's interviews you really get the feeling he just wants to make it hard and unfun. Like he was disappointed that people broke the game 'so easily' but I'm as casual as it gets, I don't think I've ever actually broken the game. And now it feels just really meh all around. I dunno man... I'll see if it grows on me but for now it's a big feelsbadman

The thing in your firs shop on left is great. On a start of a floor it gives portals to bossroom and secretroom or itemroom
