imo it was selfish of the wife to get together with the man from the get-go. In order to please her parents and make them think that she conformed to their marriage standards she robbed her husband of 20 mfing years of true companionship. The time and potential for a blissful relationship can never be returned. Very villainy

(I haven’t read the Reddit post) You don’t know the ins and outs of their relationship though. The lady may genuinely have true platonic love for the guy and it’s not like they didn’t have good times and enjoyable times together. Plus, it was a different time back then. It may not have been safe for her to come out. Plus, if in another universe, if they didn’t get together, you cannot be 100% sure he would get together with a lady and be as happy as he was with the wife.
Happy memories don’t just disappear just because things are different now. The fact still stands that they had a peaceful marriage and beautiful kids that I’m sure both of them love.

The wife is in the wrong to waste over 20 years of the husband's life. Even have a kid together.
Her situation is sad, but to drag another person into it is worse lol.

The wife should have told the husband from the start instead of waiting 20 over years. Then both the wife and husband can keep the secret from her father if the husband is willing. Some more now got kids. From the story, it sounded like the guy just got used.

    • @MuseHathor
      @MuseHathor 2 ปีที่แล้ว

But you don’t know that the husband would’ve married the wife if she did come out. What if he’s a raging homophobe? What if they were best friends and who better to marry than your best friend? The fact still stands that she provided him with good memories and beautiful kids. I’m sure if she had a choice to come out and marry a lady without any social consequences, she wouldn’t put him through that either.

Pinkdot existed even before park royal was open. They literally earned all the pink dollars every year of existence which makes it extra infuriating. While it is true that only SG citizens/PR can attend PD, there are also lgbt foreigners who stay at Park royal to view the event.
Businesses in the past can get away being homophobic but now with social media it is so much easier to get called out. PD might look like a festival but fundamentally it is about visibility (stonewall riots). Businesses and politicians are only here to take advantage. PD existed more than 10 years. Why only now then MP come? Kinda sus.
All the spouses coming out story would have been averted if gay marriage was legal. Who knew?

Sad that the wife had to live through such a lie for so long just cos parents.
and felt that the Husband really suffered without knowing for so long.
I wouldn't mind if she told me.
would be like that series house for spouse.
But If I go ahead and did it for a BTO
would that be criminal either ?
If the next guest is a Laywer then it would be a over 1 hour special on legality on 377a !

For that story... I feel that yes while the wife is selfish, but there might have been other factors that she might not have been able to resist. Besides, resisting marriage means you got something to hide (which was definitely against the father's wishes). Its actually more important how they will plan the divorce and how they move on with their children.
I do not know how Taiwan maintain it, but I believe the full effects of it might only be very visible years down the road. I have always been ok with it, but given the government's feet dragging... Im starting to see why they have not moved forward much of the time.
Cant comment much as society is moving forward (in other areas) and depending on which direction people are ready to accept and stay in that new normal (much like how Covid affected us).

Is it against the law for a business to reject serving LBGT customers? That is the question. If it is not against the law, call it what you want so be it. If people reject you just move on and find another one who will serve you, why make a big fuss over it, the world don't owe you anything.

Supporting lgbtq+ aside, what the wife did was pretty selfish. But I also sympathise with her considering how hard it is for her to do the right thing under the current societal climate.

She shouldn’t marry him in the first place to please her parents. Just remain single till her parents return to God. At least she doesn’t hurt her husband & children.

As much as I agree that we should not neglect the rights and feelings of the LGBTQ community, people like the husband, for instance, the story shared in the video, should not be ignored too. The husband has 100% right to feel upset, they even have children means there is responsibility too. It's no doubt an absolute selfish act by the wife and some of the public should not have this emotional blackmail by saying the husband is not supposed to be "bitching" about it. Apparently he is not the one related to any bitch behavior and whatnot.

    Wife: comes out of closet
    Husband: .....
    Wife: let's divorce.....
    Husband: Lan Lan suck thumb
wife: expect husband to understand and compromise and want divorce
LOL!!! I literally laughing my ass off.... what if it is the other way round ? come on you expect your partner to be forgiving, compromise and understanding after so many years of marriage ?
so she expect her children to compromise and understand too ?
women nowadays love to use mainstream's perspective to pressure and manipulate men if they don't give in they will label them jerk.. selfish..... come on la men stop being a wuss ... man up
wow that's a very innovative way of cheating and getting away LOL!!!! women are so smart!!! SONG BO!!!!!!

Great video... Personally, the question should be why is same sex marriage not allowed? Is it an economic issue or something else. Personally, i think it is an economic impact situation. The only measurable method is money and pax.. so, what is the root cause?
