      I’ve ordered it, should arrive tomorrow. I’ve got to figure out something or I’ll be finding a new hone for this sweet and expensive pup. My hub works from home, I’m a housewife with errands to run sometimes and I can’t leave him without him crying and barking and disturbing my hubs important conference calls. 😬☹️

    I think what dog lovers need to learn to do what works for them. Dog lovers aren't lovers if they don't balance their dogs. My neighbors dogs bark excessively, pull them, never ever listen, and the dog dragged her dislocating my neighbor’s shoulder. So forget the haters, let them hate. You are still a lover of dogs, because you’re still trying to keep your dog balanced. Lastly, haters are controlling, and try to make you feel bad.

    • @christinehaskell1430
      @christinehaskell1430 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Tamiko, have you used this product to control barking. I have a beautiful goldendoodle (4 years) who is nippy with children and a barker. Wondering if this could help. Thanks, Cris

    • @SunFlower-x3
      @SunFlower-x3 3 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      Christine Haskell Yes it’ll work if you use it correctly. You have to catch them in the act then, verbally tell them to stop three times, then vibrate him. Your dog is only slightly disrespectful, the nipping is bad but the barking you can control. You can’t let him beat you to doors and windows, but if he reach doors or windows simply remove him and make him sit. I’ve trained my 2 like that. You’ve got to stop spoiling him, and give him love by walking him, directing him, then the love and cuddles. He’s not loving you so much but protecting your insecurities, fears, nerves, and whatever else that you have going on. You are giving love love love and no boundaries, and that’s harming children and I feel you are better than that. You can love a dog w/o spoiling it rotten.

    You're 100% on the spot. I have a Jack Russell maniac barker. He had 5 (not one, FIVE) different trainers. None of them could fix the barking nightmare, spend a lot of cash on those lessons and 6 months of training. Positive reinforcements did not work on my dog. Finally, the last trainer offered me a sportdog brand sbc-r bark collar. Problem fixed, he behaves now, the shocks are not necessary, he knows. People are worried about the shock. It's a static shock, not an electricity shock with amperiums. It's the same static when you shake hands or when you take off a sweater made with synthetic fibers. It is not animal torture. A lot of dogs are euthanized and abandoned because of barking issues. It's not cruelty, use your brain.

      yes people underestimate how many dogs we as humans get rid of cause of the simple fact that they are untrained/neglected by humans honestly every one i have seen getting into e collars does it out of love for there animal and to have that extra way of communication specially on longer distances

      Because they’re scared of doing the behavior you don’t want them to do. Imagine if you run away or get really mad easily, and when you get mad or something you get shocked. Imagine you get shocked because your parents won’t properly teach you why you can’t go somewhere or do something. You people are stupid

    • @Julietsg
      @Julietsg 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@iexisttoo5859 Comparing dog v human and human v human communication as if they’re the same is idiotic. But if you want to go there, I never ran away because my parents set boundaries and rules. Dogs should also be set with boundaries and rules, some more difficult than others and need different methods than just “positive reinforcement”.

      if it didn't't work your doing it wrong or didn't try at all or maybe your very lazy - so don't get a dog if your think of harming one
      what shock collar dose to a dog it would made the dog have anxiety and be very aggressive - also most shock collar that are use could fry the dog neck with burn marks just so you know

    • @NikkieRoxxx
      @NikkieRoxxx 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry, but im old fashion. Positive reinforcement sounds to me that if you want your dog to do somethong, you need to bribe it with a treat. I.e; your dog eats shit. Say "leave it" and then it eats a treat instead. One day when you start running out of treats, it might think "sod it, im eating the brown matter again"

    I got the same collar for my dog. She is a hunting dog to so I took her to the beach for the first time and she was good off leash but she saw birds and took off running. I tried recalling her but she was to focused on the birds so I thought I need to train her more. I got the collar to help stop her from chasing animals while we are in a walk. I only beep her when she shows like she is going to go after a bird or squirrel. I vibrate her when the beep doesn't work and then only shock when she starts to run off even when I try recalling with a treat and she still doesn't come. My dog has gotten better and not focusing on distractions and focusing on me while saying commands.

Also I can record my voice to the system, I can use my voice recording to train my dog, say goodbye to the traditional beep sound for good. So far it seems really effective. All I do is pressing the voice recording button to correct my dogs behavior. We hardly have to use the shock setting.

    We have this exact same collar for buddy and it has worked wonders for him running straight to the neighbors 🤣! They’re well into their 80s and he loves them. So once he sees them he makes a bee line to them. But now with this collar I’ll beep it or vibrate it and he stops dead in his tracks. I have never used the shock...we keep it on 00 since you can’t lock just the shock function (that was my only gripe with this collar).

    I have a question! I just purchased this for my 1.5 year old rescue. He listens so well usually.. except off leash. I too want to work on boundaries in the yard. Did you practice training boundaries intentionally like showing her then showing the beep... or only while playing outside you incorporated it more loosely if that makes sense? Also.. what do they do if you have to shock them? Do they squeal or anything? (💔) Do they just come running back? I never want to hurt my little guy so I want to use it on a really low setting.

Also I can record my voice to the system, I can use my voice recording to train my dog, say goodbye to the traditional beep sound for good. So far it seems really effective. All I do is pressing the voice recording button to correct my dogs behavior. We hardly have to use the shock setting.

    These dogs are so smart and that is why I have kept the dog. I have a special needs child with medical issues as well. When Sara our dog was six months she was able to run into my room and warn me my daughter was having a seizure. Now, Sara turned 3 no one would believe the energy this dog has. But I am ordering the collar. I needed to see your post so much thank you That old saying let me see you walk a mile in my shoes.... You have ...THANK YOU!

    I might look into this. We did use a pet sonic device for our big dog (shepard/coonhound). She has such anxiety she scares everyone. It is a blue box that sends a sonic noise when we push the button. My sin has a harmonica in a blue box and all we have to do is pick that box up and she thinks it is the sonic box and stops lol. Dogs are sooooo smart!!!!!!

    Hi there! Love your video. We have a 1-year-old chocolate lab. She is great when I am out walking our property and stays with me or stops and waits to see me. The issue is when I am around my shop she starts to wander, following all the deer tracks. We also have a busy road that I want to keep her away from. How has the collar been? Is it reliable? I've seen some other collars but they are in the $300 plus range. Thanks in advance!!!

    Great job in explaining! I know there are a lot of people that dont like e-collars, and Im sure theres a lot of people that abuse them. But if used properly they are a great tool that could save a dogs life. I too live on a gravel road that is not too busy. Most of the time you could play in the street. But there's the few random cars that FLY by and its insane! (Have to put it out there that UPS and FedEx are the worst!) Unfortunately I had a dog that liked to chase things and she chased after a car one day, got hit and it killed her. Was the saddest day of my life! It could've been prevented with a fence, underground fence or even your e-collar. I spent a lot of time training her and she would come when called very consistently so we didn't bother with a fence. But she got fixated on the chase and wouldn't come. So PLEASE everyone, dont take the chance. No matter how well behaved or trained you think your dog is...they are still a dog and will succumb to instincts. Its our responsibility to make sure they are safe. Wish I hadnt learned that the hard way. Use the tools guys!

      My dog is so great in the house, outside - different dog. She’s awful. Bolts out the door, takes off into the woods, runs the road! It’s horrifying and so stressful. We got an in ground fence and she did so well, but of course her pray drive takes over and she’s gone at any sign of a squirrel or rabbit! She bolts through without a care! We leash her ALL THE TIME! She got out the door yesterday and killed our pet rabbit that was out enjoying the grass 😩🥲 traumatic experience! My husband is done and wants to rehome her. I am devastated! She’s almost 5 and inside she’s my sweet loving girl, but outside she’s a train wreck!
      I am trying to do anything I can to keep her. I’m going to try this collar! I’m so thankful I found this video and these comments!

    I’m looking to get a pair, I have a couple of Beagle puppies, siblings boy and girl who like to escape, they dug under the fence, then jumped over the gate using the railing and when I closed that avenue they started digging under the gate, I can’t proof everything because I have over 2 thousand feet of fence so imagine digging a trench under all that to doggy proof so I’ll get one and watch them closely for the next few days and hope they finally learn.

    Also one thing to note, you want to collar right enough that you can only slip 2 fingers under it when it is on. That way you ensure the prongs are making contact with the dog and that way you can run your collar at a low level

    Great review, we just got one and similar with you we will not use the shock mode. We'll just use the buzz / vibrate mode to get her attention. Our dog loves to run up to strangers and jump up for attention which has scared kids in the past. She is a border collie, (very energetic) she's an angel but will not come on command. But this collar will help to get her attention and when she comes she gets a special snacky treat.

      Heck yeah it would. He nips you shock immediately. Its actually good to hit a dog when they nip at you. Its how dogs speak and if you hit them (like a hard jab to their side) its telling them, in dog, that thats not okay.

    I just bought an e collar for my golden retreiver she's about 10 months old and same as your dog absolutely refused to come in spite of using only positive reinforcement with treats. I only use vibrate or beep and she comes NOW! Not later or when she feels like it and the difference in her behavior is night and day. I watched several videos on TH-cam before trying it. I had bought it and hesitated to use it at first but after having to trail her to get her to come back she comes every single time. Due to the e collar she no longer has to be crated unless we are not home and she is a pleasure to have her around. I would tell anyone who is at wits end to try one with the realization that you may never have to use the static part. It's not inhumane to help your dog learn to come it's absolutely the most important command they need for their own safety. Thanks for a well done review!

    Can you tell me how you use it? Did you just strap it on and when she wouldn’t mind you just press the beep button. I got the same collar I haven’t tried it yet. I have a golden double doodle that is 5 months old. When we take her outside sometimes she doesn’t want to come in and takes off usually we don’t have a leash on her. We are in our sixties so catching her can be rough.

      Only if she doesn't respond to her verbal command. I first beeped... If she still didn't listen.. Buzz... Still not.. Shock. I've only had to shock twice. Now after many months loving on a big farm...I will beep when from inside the house when I want her to come back to the house to come in. It's the most amazing device.. I'm so thankful for it. Life changer for sure.

    Thanks for posting. I have a 8 month old German Sheppard lab mix. Like your dog her nose is always to the ground following a scent and becomes none responsive to commands. She becomes over excited and reckless when she sees another dog. She pulls and jumps in an attempt to run to the other dog. This eventually led to her breaking her leg when she jumped up lunging forward and choked and landed sideways because she was on leash. After costly surgery and follow ups I have decided to try an e collar for her own safety. Haters are gonna hate but I'm doing what is best for her. I hope I get the positive results from this as you did.
