I like when Demon king usually says he is a good man and when he tells people to beg him before he does something for them. His end was somehow took him off guard as he didn't expect to be sealed after all his overconfidence and scheming. I feel so bad for Zhou who lost everyone dear to him in the end, it was like he turned into a demon for nothing. his Dad still loved him but was acting so tough. I like when Hao ran after Ke when he was falling. Qin Ke was really selfless. Good drama, but the ending is so off.

Thanks a lot for this great show. Actors are perfect, all of them. First Time i see Asher Ma, (as Zhuo Hao). I am very impressed by the way he brings life to his charactor. I'm looking forward to see him again.
I somehow sensed it may not have happy ending for Chong Zi and Yifan but at least they got married and had some beautiful moments of happiness as husband and wife ❤❤❤though their happiness was short-lived.. The cast are all wonderful,I really enjoyed the drama.

Actually I liked it. I could see that there was no way for a conventional "Happy Ending". The immortals were never going to except her and remember, she never did do anything wrong. Because of the demon breath, they had a self fulfilling belief that she would always end badly. I liked the ending because they DO end up spiritually together. Zhuo Hua finally matures and will become a steadying influence on the demon sect. Remember, many of them were ex immortals who showed more humanity and tolerance than the leaders of the immortals. Sage Min dies and is also replaced in Nanhoa by a more moderate successor. So I think this really was a good end to the journey.

Wow... What a Great Show!!! I have to restart watching this show again. Great teamwork actors and actresses. I like Queen Zi's custom clothes and the wedding dress that Luo Yinfan gave for their wedding. I have seen several shows of Yang Chaoyue. This is the best she couple with Xu Zhengxi. I still like the way Xu Zhengxi instantly changed his facial from happy to sadness or in terrible pain. 😲💖 I love Qin Ke's personality; he is the True Prince from the Royal Mortal World. He is the only one can distinguish between good and evil. Sometimes I never understand why a good person constantly being blamed for all the wrong reason. I used to say, "Either that person is attracted to chao or chao is attracted to him/her. It takes a special person to keep peace between good and evil like Luo Yinfan."
As much as it's a sad ending, it's the ending that it deserves. Chong has suffered so much to the point that her being a demon is justified. So much have been sacrificed that there is no turning back for the both of them. I feel so bad for Hao and Ke. They deserve better, especially Ke. That evil girl needs to stay in prison for eternity. The demon king is so handsome that I can not be mad at him 😅

It seems that a lot of these Chinese drama end in this way, with a battle of good and evil...and raising above love and hate for the purpose of saving the worlds. Its really very interesting. I kind of like it because its not really what you would think a romantic drama would end. Well, from a western stand point. I guess that is why I like them. It's a new twist for me.

To those who think they die or think this is not a happy ending. Well...there is episode 41. Luo Yifan and Chongzi become spiritual sword but they can still appear as human form and travel the human world together. They are cultivating together so that they can leave the sword eventually. By the way, the story in the book is very different than screen writing.
I really feel sorry for zhao hao. He really loved her but got nothing. Qin Ke is a true man. He even sacrifired himself for the world.I really wanted to see Chong Zi and the sange together. They suffer too much but in the end they got nothing. I hope there will be season 2 with happy ending

The Ending was not Satisfying . Most of the people tried their best to be with the one they love , But no one got It. The journey has come to an end🥺🥺🥺it was a very very long journey 😢😢but finally it's over, how I wish the ending couldn't be that heartbreaking 😢😢but at the end they still together 😊
I don't know why so many people have written in the comments throughout all the episodes that the ending was terrible. It wasn't. Yes, it was sad that Qin Ke gave his life to save humanity, but he died for a noble reason. He had been kicked out of the immortal sect, didn't want to return to the paranoia and hypocrisy of the Councilor and knew that he could never get over Chong Zi, his death was an "easy" decision for him. Thank goodness Councilor Min is finally dead. However, with his ego, he fully believed he would be revered as a Celestial God like Yun Qiu for his years of service and sacrifice. I hope Councilor Sage Yu Du doesn't name him as a Celestial God. I think he understood how ridiculous his senior was, but he didn't have the strength to stand up to him. I hope everyone "forgets" that Ting Xue is in the Immortal Prison. I hope now that Councilor Yu Du is in charge and because evil Councilor Min can no longer protect her, that he sends Min Suqiu to the immortal prison as well for playing a critical role in the creation of Celestial Demon Zi. Zhou Hao suffered a lot of loss but, perhaps with the deaths of Chong Zi and his father, I hope he has finally grown up. How many times did Chong Zi have to tell him that she wasn't interested in him as a life partner and never would be? Yes, she did it far too cruelly every time because she wasn't raised well by her parents or by Luo Yinfan. But, Zhao Hao refused to listen. If he had scaled back his desperate obsession, perhaps they could have been friends and both would have avoided becoming demons. If Councilor Yu Du doesn't throw Min Suqiu into prison, Zhou Hao needs to kick her out of his palace and announce to the full assembly that he will never, ever marry her. She won't believe it unless she is repeatedly, publicly shamed. Demon King Wang Yue knew Chong Zi as a child. How did she wind up as a beggar? He griped that she wasted time trying to be an immortal. Well, whose fault was that? Wang Yue should have taken over her training the minute her parents died. He could have thoroughly indoctrinated her, strengthen her powers and then still had her infiltrate the immortal sects as a disciple in order to retrieve the Demon Sword and Tianmo Token. Councilor Min was pretty stupid and probably couldn't tell the difference between a little demon breath and a full fledged demon. The overall lessons: 1. Pay attention. Ask questions. Chong Zi didnt pay attention, didn't ask questions and never understood why her actions always had consequences. For Heaven's sake, even after he died, Luo Yinfan was still trying to teach her that good and evil, immortal and demon, have to be in balance for peace to exist. 2. Demand people teach you to be a better person and do your homework. Work to improve. Luo Yinfan told the sect leaders he would hide Chong Zi, protect her and she could be his assistant and maid so that her demon breath wouldn't mature. He forgot to tell Chong Zi the plan. She was happy and stable until she left the mountain after three years, met her fellow initiates and was embarassed and bullied because she didn't have any skills and hadn't bothered to learn how to read and write when she had three years to sit around and watch the grass grow. After realizing her deficiencies, she should have demanded that Luo Yinfan teach her and she should have done her homework. Instead, she became depressed and angry and blamed everyone else for her inadequacies. Luo Yinfan protected her too much and expected too little from her. 3. Stand up for yourself. Don't accept the judgment and condemnation of others without attempting to fully explain what you did and why you did it. Demand explanation if you don't understand why people are against you. She kept being told she was unacceptable because she had demon's breath. Not once did Chong Zi ask "well, what do i do about it? Can i get rid of it? Can i control it? Help me to understand." 4. Don't suffer in silence when bullied and tortured by others, even if they are higher than you. Miao Yuan got away with her evil nonsense for decades because Chong Zi and everyone else accepted the torture and didn't speak up. 4. Learn to love yourself. Treat yourself better. All the secondary, jealous women were pathetic and eventually became evil and most died. How many times does a man have to tell you he is not interested before you will accept it, have some self respect and walk away? No, these women thought that if they waited long enough, the man will eventually realize they are "the one." Or, with the death of their rival, the man will suddenly accept them. Why do you want to be second choice? Why do you want to be married to a man who barely tolerates you? Even the sainted Zhou Yunji became cruel, evil and desperate. If Mu Yu/Tian Zhixie hadn't killed her, she surely would have poisoned Chong Zi at some point. I'm surprised her ungrateful disciple, Ting Xue, didn't poison Chong Zi and then blame Zhou Yunji for not teaching her that "that" plant was "that" poisonous at "that" dosage.

Like wise many of them Miss Gong , and all they deserved so much better

I don't know why so many people have written in the comments throughout all the episodes that the ending was terrible. It wasn't.
Yes, it was sad that Qin Ke gave his life to save humanity, but he died for a noble reason. He had been kicked out of the immortal sect, didn't want to return to the paranoia and hypocrisy of the Councilor and knew that he could never get over Chong Zi, his death was an "easy" decision for him.
Thank goodness Councilor Min is finally dead. However, with his ego, he fully believed he would be revered as a Celestial God like Yun Qiu for his years of service and sacrifice. I hope Councilor Sage Yu Du doesn't name him as a Celestial God. I think he understood how ridiculous his senior was, but he didn't have the strength to stand up to him.
I hope everyone "forgets" that Ting Xue is in the Immortal Prison.
I hope now that Councilor Yu Du is in charge and because evil Councilor Min can no longer protect her, that he sends Min Suqiu to the immortal prison as well for playing a critical role in the creation of Celestial Demon Zi.
Zhou Hao suffered a lot of loss but, perhaps with the deaths of Chong Zi and his father, I hope he has finally grown up. How many times did Chong Zi have to tell him that she wasn't interested in him as a life partner and never would be? Yes, she did it far too cruelly every time because she wasn't raised well by her parents or by Luo Yinfan. But, Zhao Hao refused to listen. If he had scaled back his desperate obsession, perhaps they could have been friends and both would have avoided becoming demons.
If Councilor Yu Du doesn't throw Min Suqiu into prison, Zhou Hao needs to kick her out of his palace and announce to the full assembly that he will never, ever marry her. She won't believe it unless she is repeatedly, publicly shamed.
Demon King Wang Yue knew Chong Zi as a child. How did she wind up as a beggar? He griped that she wasted time trying to be an immortal. Well, whose fault was that? Wang Yue should have taken over her training the minute her parents died. He could have thoroughly indoctrinated her, strengthen her powers and then still had her infiltrate the immortal sects as a disciple in order to retrieve the Demon Sword and Tianmo Token. Councilor Min was pretty stupid and probably couldn't tell the difference between a little demon breath and a full fledged demon.
The overall lessons:
1. Pay attention. Ask questions. Chong Zi didnt pay attention, didn't ask questions and never understood why her actions always had consequences. For Heaven's sake, even after he died, Luo Yinfan was still trying to teach her that good and evil, immortal and demon, have to be in balance for peace to exist.
2. Demand people teach you to be a better person and do your homework. Work to improve. Luo Yinfan told the sect leaders he would hide Chong Zi, protect her and she could be his assistant and maid so that her demon breath wouldn't mature. He forgot to tell Chong Zi the plan. She was happy and stable until she left the mountain after three years, met her fellow initiates and was embarassed and bullied because she didn't have any skills and hadn't bothered to learn how to read and write when she had three years to sit around and watch the grass grow. After realizing her deficiencies, she should have demanded that Luo Yinfan teach her and she should have done her homework. Instead, she became depressed and angry and blamed everyone else for her inadequacies. Luo Yinfan protected her too much and expected too little from her.
3. Stand up for yourself. Don't accept the judgment and condemnation of others without attempting to fully explain what you did and why you did it. Demand explanation if you don't understand why people are against you. She kept being told she was unacceptable because she had demon's breath. Not once did Chong Zi ask "well, what do i do about it? Can i get rid of it? Can i control it? Help me to understand."
4. Don't suffer in silence when bullied and tortured by others, even if they are higher than you. Miao Yuan got away with her evil nonsense for decades because Chong Zi and everyone else accepted the torture and didn't speak up.
4. Learn to love yourself. Treat yourself better. All the secondary, jealous women were pathetic and eventually became evil and most died. How many times does a man have to tell you he is not interested before you will accept it, have some self respect and walk away? No, these women thought that if they waited long enough, the man will eventually realize they are "the one." Or, with the death of their rival, the man will suddenly accept them. Why do you want to be second choice? Why do you want to be married to a man who barely tolerates you? Even the sainted Zhou Yunji became cruel, evil and desperate. If Mu Yu/Tian Zhixie hadn't killed her, she surely would have poisoned Chong Zi at some point. I'm surprised her ungrateful disciple, Ting Xue, didn't poison Chong Zi and then blame Zhou Yunji for not teaching her that "that" plant was "that" poisonous at "that" dosage.
