    Hi My Friend, Your tutos are very helpful and interesting. In this one, you should have extruded the door profile following a curved line rather than a strait one.

      I was thinking the same thing. I would add a guiding curve normal to the door surface that would define the curve of the door generally, then use a Boundary Surface with the two lines. It'd be a bit closer to a real door's shape

    What is the point using a set of straight lines and circle arcs with know curvature radius ? Beziers and NURBS curve have been known for quite some time.
    Is there an advantage in terms of specification of the sketch, or manufacturability of the product ? Or you going to press the door against a piece of know curvature radius ?

      I've seen car doors being made in one of those factory videos and the sheet metal is exactly like this cad version.

    This kind of surfacing is not good even for a Toy car..real cars are not built like this. They are full of ClassA surface & not tangent fillets. Nurbs & spline curves are used to build the full car body surface & later split into individual parts. It is good to impress naive learners.
