Just by his expression, I can tell that this man has had a rough life these past few years.
the real reason he does not feel comfortable while singing this song is because he doesnt like the fact that 7th element is his most famous song. i mean, the song is good, but he has so many amazing songs and he feels down knowing that this song is the only one he is known for. he does however feel good performing other songs, look at the contrast of his emotions between this and kill the wolf. i as a musical artist also have my songs that i think are better than others, but even so one of my songs which i deleted still comes out as the best according to some people. i think i know what vitas feels and i can relate to him, so please check out his other songs which are great. my personal favourite songs from him are opernaya, skyfall and kill the wolf, but 7th element is also a great one

I see a lot of mixed reactions here and have an observation - and not even a direct observation as I’m here in the US so I only get to see a portion of any performances vitas makes in a year. So please take this as as a surface observation and nothing more as I’m not vitas either.
I’d say that it’s apathy and loathing that he still has to perform or lip sync this song almost 20 years later....just like brandon urie from panic at the disco - he hates still having to perform “I write sins not tragedies”.....and like Billy Joel hates not only performing “we didn’t start the fire” he hates that he even wrote the song...and that’s over 30 years ago.
So I’ll give vitas a break, won’t jump into saying it’s something as harsh as depression and/or addiction; nor make the assumption he’s apathetic towards his creation and/or loathe that he wrote and recorded it....but I’d say that yes possibly apathetic/bored/loathing having to STILL perform or lip sync it; when he has so many other songs that are just as amazing of an achievement in and of themselves.
**i think this is the most analytical observation and comment I’ve ever made pertaining to music and/or a musician
**also he could just be exhausted from being a parent during the holiday season
