This will be the first MX vs ATV game I'll be picking up in years. Looks really good, kind of a callback to the original games with the different biomes, etc.
I cant be the only one thinking this is the first mx vs atv i will not buy😂 its like a reskined all out and that game was terrible. Give it a 2 month lifespan max, prefer mx bikes or even mx unleashed for a more realistic/arcade game, like are the developers even listening to the bike or looking at how shit the phyiscs are😭
I agree. The AMA tracks will have more of a realistic layout, so 100% enjoy that the tracks in the game have some more arcade style to them. I just watched the 30 minute video of...ummm...Kellen? I think? Doing a free ride through the mountainous biome. My one son loves to explore those so that will be a ton of fun for me/us!
Sure, there are some aspects that need improving (sound and rider stiffness) ... but those tracks and the environments, they sure as heck look amazing! Overall, this games just screams "fun and excitement" at me, which is probably needed in addition to some recent MX/SX games. Really looking forward to it!
the only reason the bike sounds bother me is because they are exactly the same as All Out. if you watch some of the trailers they have released, the bike sounds are not even close to sounding like this, i just hope that the bike sounds change with release or eventually through the life cycle of the game.
Yeah but the most important aspects of a mx game are the physics and animations which are really bad. The environments are decent. Graphics could be way better as well.
Hey man. Love the content. Quick question: I'm not sure how many more videos you're planning on pumping out before launch, but if there is another one, do you think we could see a good whip instead of a scrub? Like one where when you're coming off the lip of the jump you just use the right stick only to the left or right so that the rider is hanging off the side of the bike and getting upside down on a big jump? It'd be appreciated. thanks :)
I got a free demo of All Out, played it for about 1 minute, hit a bump in a turn & wound up backwards & crashed. Exited the game & deleted it immediately.
@@tuckerc5871 That's the problem, you need to get into the game and figure out how to perfectly tune your bike. The stock bikes and tunes are unrideable, total crap. You can't base your opinion on that.

Thanks for watching man. Yeah I really want new bike sounds as well. I actually have no idea if they will be updating the sounds or not. This is just how it is on the build I'm currently on.
I’m alright with the 4 stroke sounds, but they need to get away from that preset 2 stroke sounds that kinda changes with rpm, and make it like the 4 strokes where the sound actually follows the rpm
My man. I hate to say it but. U shouldn’t care about bike sounds💀 like would you rather have the worse bike sounds and amazing physics or amazing bike sounds with terrible physics. Personally I’d have good gameplay 💀
One thing they need to add is having the rider keep his torso straight up and down while the bike is leaned on flat corners. Right now he is connected to the bike like he is in a berm at all times.
So I've been playing MESX since the first one (skipping 5 because, well, it's not an improvement at all) and I was an All Out hater just because I didn't like the way the rider moved on the ground, but Legends seems to be solid all around. Like other people have said, it just looks super fun to play. Might be picking this one up!
Mxgp 21 is the best milestone game since mxgp3 imo. Supercross 3 is also good. I'll stick with mx bikes and mxgp21. This game looks like a slower all out.
@@TheSuperuser49 agree. I really enjoyed that game so far and I'm coming back to it because of the skill gap. Turning, cornering feels really good and you have to be careful especially when it's raining. 😉

Gameplay wise, that looks like an insane step-up from All out. The driving, the slides, the air time, less areal control. Sounds awesome. Graphic wise, looks very good and the farmland looks like a very fun place to freeride around. Level design, look insane just by looking at those 2 tracks, really original lots of twist, sounds awesome. Reminds me of some tracks of unleashed. But 1 thing keep itching big time. The animations. They look really rushed and extremely stiff. And because of 2 factors : 1. Active Ragdoll The characters look like he doesn't have any physic while riding, like it's just fixed animation. Every other game from the franchise had this, even unleashed. That's what makes landing and turning very stiff. 2. Character stabilization One thing that destroy most of the juiciness is the absence of character stabilization. Since All out this feature is gone, the character doesn't try to stay straight on the bike, if the bike is 90° the character will also be. Which is completely unrealistic. In Alive/Supercross/Reflex we had this, and that made them look much closer to real life, because the character actually tries to keep a balance instead of always having the same angle as the bike.
Hopefully this game can show the community that we don't need another Reflex for them to come back with a GOAT. Sounds need work though; they sound identical to All Out. I believe it would be a cool addition later down the line to add to the 'Legends' theme if they add early to late 90's to mid 00's 2-Stroke MX bikes in a future DLC.
The tracks look unreal! Love seeing a return to these massive fantasy tracks with loads of character. Reminds me of the PS2 days. And also having a selection of realistically scaled tracks that still play well is awesome, so great job there. But seeing more gameplay here, got a bit of feedback for the physics overall if the devs come through here. The sliding does look pretty weird, but I don’t think that’s necessarily just because it slides so much, it’s because it slides unnaturally. It’s like doing a 2 wheel drift instead of just losing the back end like you should on a bike. It looks like the front wheel always steers the same way even if you’re sliding, which is not how you should handle a slide. The back end should slide out but the front wheel needs to counter steer to keep the front going straight, like in a car. You fix that and sliding will look a lot more natural. To go even further the rider animations could be adjusted when you’re sliding so he’s sitting on the top edge of the seat or similar. Just look at some footage of flat track bikes to get an idea of good looking body positioning. And I’ll say again, like everyone else is saying, sounds need some work. And again I’ll suggest you look into how MX Bikes does bike sounds, with real recorded sound samples for each rpm range and situation, blended together to make smooth transitions. Real recorded sounds always sound 10x better than computer generated sounds, and the fact that the old MX vs ATV games used a similar approach and everyone loved those sounds supports this. But it’s looking good! Hopeful to see these things addressed in updates at least
On top of the changes to the sliding animation and steering, a way you could add a little more realism and skill gap could be changing the way sliding behaves. The way it is now it seems like if you turn too hard you’ll just slide sideways but still make the turn pretty much like normal on big wide turns. It should be a lot harder to maintain big long slides through corners. If you start sliding and continue to lean harder the bike should spin out and crash, so you’ll have to either lean less, back off the throttle, or even weight the outside peg with the right stick, to bring it back. Sliding should also reduce your speed a bit, so if you start to slide on a flat turn you’ll start to slow down, and if you slide right out coming out of a corner you won’t accelerate as fast until you’re going straight again. But you could also use this behaviour to your advantage by squaring off corners and sliding the back around to make tighter turns. This would especially help in sx. And you could tune the bike to grip less, making it slide more but turn tighter, or grip more, making it more stable but less agile. If you could do this the ground physics would be basically perfect imo.
I’ve been loving the game since it was announced and I’m so glad that bc of content creators like YOU that mx vs atv is actually listening to player feedback which is something I don’t think they’ve done in a while
Hey Windham, they showed a lap around highpoint in the game on the broadcast this last weekend but it didnt look like the bike was leaving terrain deformation behind like you can see in some of your clips. They should bring back the CR bikes from the 80's. And the RM bikes from then too as bikes you can buy. How awesome would that be ripping through on a CR500 or CR250 hell even a CR80.
Tracks are sick. Even though All Out overall physics were lame, the ground physics had more "grip and go" to them. These physics still seems super heavy and whips are wack but I think they're getting close. Impressed with how much work they're putting into it.
I didn’t like legends when I first played it after downloading it 2 weeks ago. But I’m used to it now, and I’ll even say that I think it’s better than all out. I absolutely love the track designs. The game Wreckfest did the thing where there were only a handful of "tracks" but they all have several different layouts. There were forward, reverse, standard, alternate route, full loop, short, etc. That's a neat idea. Especially since they already kinda do that with real pro moto tracks, like at Millville the track is quite a bit longer and more intense for pro day than it is for amateur races.

This will be my very first MX Vs. ATV game from the franchise( never played the others). It looks pretty good, ngl. I wonder will it have free roam similar to GTA V or some; minus the guns and getting out of the vehicle of course. That would make for some good content in those 16 player lobbies.
The first person view seems to rid the feeling of the back end sliding everywhere. It would be so sick if they could get bikes to hook into ruts and get that back end from sliding everywhere in 3rd person.
I'm pumped about this one. I played all out a lot just for the nationals even though gameplay wasn't the best but this one actually looks like it plays good. People complaining about bike sounds are nit picking so bad lol.
Will there be some kind of backtrail that you will see after doing a lap? Getting to see where you have ride the last lap. Like some deformation after riding over it? Kinda like reflex?

@@Krampus6-1-6 lmao whatever muppet
@@joeblogs2328 you are the reason why games fail.
@@Krampus6-1-6 deleted last msg thought it was abit harsh
All im imagining is these tracks some how recreated in mx bikes 😂 it would be mad fun
That alpine track resort giving off some "The Shining" vibes. I like how they're much more creative this time around.
I think he said it was called the overlook too. Same name of the hotel lol
It looks great so far! I'll have to pick it up
looks great but are they really going to release it with those bike sounds??
It looks good but the sliding on corners like on Ice keeps bothering me lol
This will be my very first MX Vs. ATV game from the franchise( never played the others). It looks pretty good, ngl. I wonder will it have free roam similar to GTA V or some; minus the guns and getting out of the vehicle of course. That would make for some good content in those 16 player lobbies.
The first person view seems to rid the feeling of the back end sliding everywhere. It would be so sick if they could get bikes to hook into ruts and get that back end from sliding everywhere in 3rd person.
first track looks sooooooooo goooooood
This game is looking better and better
preloaded and ready!! Waiting for my 2 strokes!!
this looks so awesome i have to watch it twice!
I'm pumped about this one. I played all out a lot just for the nationals even though gameplay wasn't the best but this one actually looks like it plays good. People complaining about bike sounds are nit picking so bad lol.
Bro this game looks fun asf at first when the first gameplay came out I was disappointed but now man shit imma buy this game
Will there be some kind of backtrail that you will see after doing a lap? Getting to see where you have ride the last lap. Like some deformation after riding over it? Kinda like reflex?
looks good will definitely try it
this looks awesome, thank you for getting these vids out man!
How is the rider gear sets/helmets/boots range?
That second track gives me the vibe of the sweater riding weather you talked about a long time ago in a reflex track review if you remember.
Looks like an arcade game developed 20 years ago with a graphic update.
Scratch that, Motocross Madness had better physics.
Agree. The rider is stiff as a brick.
@@Krampus6-1-6 the whole thing just looks absolutely bad. People need to stop freaking out over how good “graphics” are, it’s literally the least important aspect of a motocross game
@@moodyshooty this game looks like last gen. I would say graphics are a really important aspect of any game.
@@Krampus6-1-6 they’re not. We live in an era of Unreal5 where assets are so widely available that it’s impossible to make a game without good graphics. Using it as a benchmark for the quality of a game is a thing of the past
@@moodyshooty ue5 is huge. I hope we will see ue5 games very soon.
Wonderful video can’t wait to play the game myself. Just asking if you could show a yz 250 in first person? Also are gasgas’s in the game.
Every time we get uploads from windham, Christmas is here early
My only hope at this point is that you can increase the traction in your setup
MX vs ATV has had really nice customizable views, especially 3rd person as I used to ride 3rd person from the back/side (5oclockis).. but they never teach the end user about them in a tutorial. They should.
Definatly gonna get this one when it comes out.
Idk if you said this before but is there preload in this . If so does it work the same as the other games
3 minute lap times, sheesh! It’s looking really fun so far. Take notes milestone. What’s the release date?
milestone=thq Nordic since they got bought out
It kind of looks like the dirt is hard packed but not too slippery. Do you feel the different types of dirt or pretty much the same? Mostly talking about hard packed vs loose. This game looks pretty good. Are the controls like all out?
So excited for this to come out
