  • How to Save dying Adenium plant? There could be many reasons behind a dying Adenium plant. But, in most cases, water is the issue. In this video, I have shown how I have revived a dying Adenium plant. At any time, you face same situation like me, you can do the same and save your plants from dying.

    I live in a retirement community where we have a large communal patio that is east facing and perfect for growing plants. I live in Lake Charles, LA where we enjoy a solid subtropical climate with a few (probably less than a dozen) days and nights of cold weather per year where night temperatures fall below 32 degrees. I will just put my roses in a nearby heated room for the night and put them back in sun the following day. I have 5 about 8" tall that I bought via Etsy that are now in terra cotta pots. I enjoy videos like yours that teach me how to avoid mistakes with them. Happy gardening! 🪴

    Sir in another video on Adenium, you mentioned that horm meal was better than bone meal for the potting mix. But horn meal is rich in nitrogen and bone meal rich in phosphorous. Can you explain how they can be substituted?

    I have one 11 year old adenium which has hard cordex but somehow it is not generating new roots. No leaves have come for almost a year. I have tested cutting a part of cordex which has turnout to be absolutely white from inside. Any suggestions on how I can improve health of plant. I have tried feeding it with Saaf to kill any fungus , bone meal and change potting media as well.

      You can try any growth Promoter like Super Sonata (available on Amazon - amzn.to/3KV5Gtk). Dose - 1.5ml in 1 liter water and spray once in 7-10 days. You should see result. Bit costly, but works well. Or else, you can try Cheap growth promoter like - Shado. Don't see it online though and it's available in local store (in my place)

    How deep should the plant be placed into the soil?

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you got a new plant, you can raise the Caudex by 1/2-1 inch. Or you can also keep the soil level as it is and Caudex would get bigger inside.

    I saved a dying adenium frm a neighbour... It is successfully alive... And it gave lots of buds in summer.. But all the buds dropped... Can u help why the buds dropped

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Congrats on saving the plant, great job! Bud drops...quite common in many plants like Adenium, Hibiscus (multi petal specially), Gardening (too much) etc..Actually, there could be many reasons and need to check few things. It could be because of Lack of water or more water, lack of nutrients, pest attack, Climate issue (wet weather) etc. So, all these things needed to be checked one by one. Hope that helps..

    After report how frequently water have to give ?

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It would depend highly on the temperature in your place. Before watering, I make sure that the soil is dry. In my place, if it's too sunny days, 2-3 days is more than enough to dry out all the soil. So, in summer, I water it once in 3-4 days. Sometimes, I need to water once in 2 days. The leaves would turn yellow and fall off if we water more. Same can happen if there is continuous rainfall.

    • @GardeningUpbeat
      @GardeningUpbeat  ปีที่แล้ว

      Squishy means, look like it's already rotting from inside..please water less or even dig out the plant and keep in shaddy area. You can repot same plant after 25-30 days. No worry, Adenium can easily survive many days without repotting. Hope that helps..thank you!
