I really appreciate that your husband moved around, leaned back and twisted around to show that the concealment held up through body movement! So many demo videos just have the person stand there or walk by/towards the camera, which doesn't give as good of an idea how well the gun is concealed. Great job!
first, let me give a big thank you to your husband for being your concealment carry theory model, and second just the amazing perspective that you have given us since your very first video
This is great, i love the time you all spent in optimizing the concealed rig. There are alot of body types out there and folks who are on the heavier side have exceptional trouble carrying appendix.
A quick recommendation on tshirts, Buck Mason is a company that does excellent quality shirts in several different weights. I use their mid-weight shirts in the summer and their fieldweight in the winter and both basically prevent above the belt printing from draping.
Great topic/great video. Although I watch most of your videos (yep I'm a guy) I really appreciate you having your husband here for this one. Maybe you could ask him to do a video (or cameo) every so often for us guys. Ty for this and all your videos!

Thank you for the principle concept. Your content in this video as well as other videos have been extremely helpfull particulary for my wife to start with on body carry. We have been concealed carrying together for over 32 years now. What is particularly interesting as our bodies age and change many previously used holsters just do not work as well anymore. Thank you for providing a solutions mindset.
Thanks for the video, It's nice to see someone push wedges. I think the industry has ignored/not given them the proper attention they deserve! Concealment in hot Florida weather becomes a totally different ball game!
I’m stunned at how few views this channels’ videos have gotten. I love this channel and have learned a lot about concealment and safety, even though I’m probably nowhere near the normal demographic. Every video on Armed and Styled is well-produced and laid-out, making them easy to understand. I first saw the creator on a Langdon Tactical video, and soon after started going through all the videos. Thank you for creating this content! I had attempted to purchase a PHLster months ago, but it was unavailable, so I forgot about it. These videos reminded me to try again. Unfortunately, still unavailable, but I put my email in the queue and ordered holsters that should fit the Enigma and my Ruger Max 9. I can’t wait to hopefully find a conceal option that works with my overly-rotund physique!
I have concealment envy now, lol. It's like he can just displace his intestines and put a gun there instead. I totally feel you with the below the belt printing! Thanks for all the fantastic tips. I don't have my enigma yet, but I will be getting one eventually :-) For now, I've ordered a new belt clip that will give me a lower ride height. It should get here today, yay.
I know the big focus here is for women, but man, it have so much better material than must of the other “tactical channels”. What make me interested because I’m a simple Dad, not a guy that wants to go to a war.
I always wear an undershirt while carrying even in 120 degrees. I sweat a lot so the shirt soaks the sweat and if I use a good moisture wicking material, it evaporates quickly. I also like that the guns rests on my shirt to prevent sweat transfer from my stomach to the slide of my gun to avoid corrosion and rust.
Looks like the slide has direct contact with the skin. Did it once for a day in a summer - nope. Not doing it anymore. Sweat fest, felt so bad for the gun. Had to change holster (taller body, completely separates the slide from the skin) and now I always wear tank tops as an intermediate layer. I am skinny as well, so no chub amassing on the gun lol. Good video.
Hmmmm...with a lot of quick-dry comfy options in shorts with belt loops, I've never experienced any of these problems when I'm working out, and when I'm in street clothes or work clothes, I generally use tuckable options for one-stop usage, whether I intend to tuck my shirt in (usually--meals, work, lunch, meetings) or not (quick trip to grocery). Seems like a whole lotta' expensive problem solving, though, gotta' give 'em credit for creating and engineering such problems!
I wonder if there is a way the Enigma can be made to where the holster part that covers the trigger guard when needing to take the gun off can easily detach. There are times CHL carriers go to a gun free zone, but it's safest to put the gun on in a lockbox while keeping the trigger covered.
I've been looking into that same JM Custom Kydex Holster. Is there reason why he chose the wing claw 2.5 over the wing claw 2.0 and has he tried using it with the enigma? Love your content!
He hasn't tried it with the enigma yet, but it's definitely compatible :) He chose the 2.5 because he preferred the way the clips with oriented on the 2.5.
I'm still struggling with my Enigma... but love their PRO holster really much. So will keep at it, and then add a wedge to both (enigma-pro and plain pro) see if that's what I need. Thanks fro the info. :>0
This is fine if your standing all the time. How uncomfortable is this is in a seated position? Also how fast can you draw in a seated position. You didn't mention this.
That’s funny, I know the differences between those words and what they mean 😆 I must have just stumbled over my words there. Hopefully you got the point regardless 👍🏻
Hah! I have to say that this holster concealment presentation was an entertaining merge of tactical preparedness and fashion show extravaganza. One moment I felt like I had somehow drifted into chic apparel critique show then only to do an about-face and be soberingly reminded of my true stalwart objectives. I like it!
What is your experience with it while using the restroom? Same question for your husband. What is the comfort level while sitting in a vehicle with seatbelt?
We both find that it's much easier to use in the restroom b/c it's not a balancing act. The gun stays on you, all you have to do is unclip the leg leash. I don't know about urinal etiquette, but it's a non issue behind a stall door.
I love this!! The only thing stopping me from owning a firearm and becoming a law abiding conceal carrier is money. It doesn't cost money to learn. I own about 9 suits already. My whole goal is to become a stylish, classy cuy who conceal carries. Wearing stuff like pro 2A and DTOM shirt etc can give away the fact that you own firearms. I want to be discrete and unsuspecting, wearing stylish designer clothes like Dolce&Gabanna, Canali, Berninni etc. God Bless, and God Bless America
Plenty of plus size men and women use the same principles th-cam.com/video/V25JBR-TXX0/w-d-xo.html this video touches on more specific body types: th-cam.com/video/ej7t55VNuuM/w-d-xo.html Regardless of someone’s overall shape just about every human frame has natural peaks and valleys in their mid section, even myself and my husband. The goal is to place the gun in a valley, and off of a peak. Once placement has been addressed we can start applying much of the concealment mechanics mentioned in this video and others. Very few people have a true valley on their hip. Likewise very few people have a valley right at 12 o’clock. I’ve noticed that most of the users who don’t think appendix carry works for xyz body type (I’ve had plenty of people say it’s not for “skinny people” either) haven’t had the opportunity to dial in placement for their bodies peaks and valleys, have not been able to use an appendix carry holster, and haven’t taken the opportunity to learn concealment principles and skills.

I know I sound like a broken record but you talk about thing I never herd of. a holster wedge?
Thank you for your hard work.
Kudos to your old man.
Thanks again for another very beneficial video. This one, featuring your husband is very helpful for us men who chose the Enigma as our carry chassis.

Great vid but would like to see you do this with more “heavyset” folks. You and your hubby are both like the human ideal for CC
Such good stuff! Thanks, lovely.
Great video! Thank you so much!
Great video, very informative! Do philster sell these wedges?
PHLster doesn’t, but you can get them at Big Tex Ordinance or Dark Star Gear 😊👍🏻
@@tessahbooth thank you so much, really appreciate the quick reply 😊🙏🏼👍🏼

Unfortunately there isn’t a way to do this that wouldn’t introduce significant failure points 😕

Which system and holster is your husband's favorite to use and wesr?
He's still using the set up in the video on a regular basis :)

you had me at Langdon Tactical!
A minor critique of an excellent video. Sheen is shine or brightness. Sheer is thin and potentially see through.

From the Ben Stoeger Pro Shop :)

I'm just a little disappointed, because the lack of "I'm Alright" is just a missed opportunity 😢
what kind of holster is 7:33
It’s an appendix carry holster from JM Custom Kydex 😊

solid
You are so intelligent
Why didn't anyone warn me 90% of my wardrobe is suddenly obsolete when conceal carrying 😤
It shouldn't have to be unless 90% of your wardrobe is tight fitting!
My question is how people bend over and pick up anything when appendix carrying haha. My gun just digs into my mini gut
Instead of hinging at your hips, you hinge slightly at your hips, but mostly in your knees, much like the way ladies bend over in a dress :)
Please girl pleas…. Can you get a big girl on there lol we need you to ARM us!!!
I dont actually care about my pistol being fully concealed. I just think open carry looks stupid.
Heads up Phlster commercial disguised as a youtube video
Wedgies????? Nooooooooooooooooooo..........
Now y'all just being weird gun people. 🙄
