  • Episode 14 from the series The End Is Near? with Skip Heitzig. Watch the complete series:
    • The End Is Near?
    I admit that the book of Revelation can appear mysterious, full of curious symbols and imagery. But it’s actually more straightforward than you may think. If you hold to a grammatical/historical view, this book provides a chronological flow of future history. It presents Jesus evaluating His church, judging His world, proclaiming His gospel, saving His nation, and establishing His kingdom. For this week and next, we will consider the flow of the future.
    This teaching is from the series The End Is Near? with Skip Heitzig from Calvary Church.

    I remember the day, probably 20+ years ago, when I was sitting in service, and Skip was going through Revelation. I remember when he read Revelation 4:1- he didn't offer an explanation of what the meaning was until a bit later in the sermon, but it hit me like a lightening bolt! That was THE rapture! I miss attending Calvary so very much.
    I also wish that the pastors at the church I had been attending in the city where I live now, who do not believe in the rapture, could hear Skip's series on Revelation (and Daniel). Sadly, I don't feel that I can place myself under those pastors' leadership, as the rapture of the church and second coming of Christ are, and should be, central to Christian teaching. I'm thankful for Skip, his ministry, and the gift that God has given him to teach His word.

    Thank you Pastor for preaching on my FAVORITE book of the Bible. I have easily read it over a hundred times and I could read it hundreds more. In fact it’s one of my favorite books to read before bedtime or when I’m unable to sleep. I haven’t met anyone else like me but I know we are out there. I’m frustrated that more churches aren’t preparing the flock and preaching the importance of the book of Revelation. I’m looking forward to Lordwilling following the sermons. Please keep me and my family in prayer, I’ve been up unable to sleep due to having Covid. I came across this comforting message, I’ve listened a few times and even played it a few more as I slept. Hi Pastor Skip,
    Regarding Revelation 5:9-10, the majority of Word-for-Word translations say:
    9 And they sang a new song, saying,
    “Worthy are you to take the scroll
    and to open its seals,
    for you were slain, and by your blood you ransomed people for God
    from every tribe and language and people and nation,
    10 and you have made them a kingdom and priests to our God,
    and they shall reign on the earth.” (ESV)
    Hence the Elders were NOT singing about themselves and therefore do not represent the Church.
    It is interesting that the Church is NOT mentioned in Rev4 and Rev5, which depicts the scene in heaven. Hence the Church is NOT in heaven yet and therefore the Rapture has not taken place yet in Rev5. We also note that the multitude in Rev5 are myriads and myriads of ANGELS and NOT believers.
    The multitude of saints from many nations appear only in Rev7, which is after the Sixth Seal. The Rapture and the Wrath of God takes place back-to-back at the Sixth Seal and hence the saints are delivered from the Wrath of God poured out from the Seventh Seal.
    Hence the Rapture is Pre-Wrath.
    Respectfully yours,
    Ronald Lim

    When John saw Jesus in his transfigured state in (Mathew 17:1) why did he fall to the ground as if he were dead when he sees him in (Revelation 1:17) since he had already seen Jesus in his transfigured state, couldn't he recognize him?

    • @rofishy2
      @rofishy2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, and no. You see Jews could repent right now, that’s what God has wanted this whole time is that they would receive their messiah Jesus Christ, there is 30,000 messianic Jews in Israel right now, but 1/3 of the nation will repent during the tribulation and they will receive their earthly blessings during the 1000 year reign of Christ and his church. Messianic Jews are a part of the church, that’s the dispensation we are in. The years of Israel’s iniquities has come and ended twice now and we are almost done with the third time out for Israel and the seventieth week is involved with this, it’s called the time of Jacob’s trouble, Jacob represents Israel, but just as it’s for the unbelieving Israel it’s also for the unbelieving gentiles/ the rest of the entire earth. The deciples believed and obeyed hints why the church will be the first one’s married to Jesus, along with the tribulation martyrs. Blessed are those who believe without seeing. The ones who get saved and survive the tribulation will be married to the father at the end of the 1000 year reign. Watch soothkeep, Generation2434, Amir Tsarfati, Tom Hughs, there’s some more I can’t remember right now, but you can learn a bunch from these channels!

    • @rofishy2
      @rofishy2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Let me add God doesn’t want to send his wrath on anyone. Unbelief angers him, and rebellion makes it impossible for him to kindle his anger. Repent and be saved so he can bless you!

    • @arcguardian
      @arcguardian ปีที่แล้ว

      To simplify it, yes. There is no Jew or Greek, meaning all who believe become the bride. When it comes to Israel, God is simply going to fulfill His promises and those (Jews or gentiles) that come to Him will also become the bride. The only thing separating the 2 (bride/Jews) is unbelief.

    • @markhauserbible7168
      @markhauserbible7168 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@rofishy2 Ok, brother, are you ready for the truth? There is NO literal 1000 year kingdom in our future. We are living in the spiritual 1000 years now. It started at the cross and will end when the Lord returns. (Scriptures later) Also, the time of Jacobs trouble is NOT 7 years. Jer30:7 Says DAY. This is man's teaching not what the word of God teaches. You also mentioned the tribulation period is 7 years (Jacob's trouble). There is NOT ONE scripture that teaches a 7 year tribulation. NOT ONE. And NO Dan9:27 does not say that. Again, this is man's teaching. You have been taught (Incorrectly) that the wrath of God is 7 years. Again, man's teaching. NOT one verse that teaches this. This is what Gods word teaches about the WRATH of God. Rev6:17 DAY. Rm2:5 DAY. Zeph 1:15 DAY. (The same as Jacobs trouble) Now for the most important false teaching. The Church, Body, Bride, Wife, Israel (Jews) are SEPARATE GROUPS. This is 100% false. Rm 12:4-5 ONE BODY. 1Cor10:17 ONE bread (Jesus) and ONE BODY. Eph2:16 That he (Jesus) might reconcile BOTH (Jew and Gentile) unto God in ONE BODY. Eph3:6 That the Gentiles might be fellow heirs and of the SAME BODY. Col1:18 That he (Jesus) is the head, THE head of the BODY, THE CHURCH. So, brother, where do you see SEPARATE groups? If there is ONE BODY, why do you believe in a pre-trib rapture? If people would only study and BELIEVE what Jesus taught, they would put away these false teachings. In Jn6:39-40,44,54. Jesus said he would raise (Resurrect) believers on the LAST DAY. Then in Jn12:48 Jesus said the unbelievers would be JUDGED on the LAST DAY. Was Jesus talking about TWO last days? OF COURSE NOT!!! Have you ever asked yourself why pre-trib pastors and teachers almost never use scriptures of what Jesus taught? Just like Jn5:28-29 Jesus said ALL THAT ARE IN THE GRAVES SHALL COME FORTH (Just and unjust together) Jesus never taught a time period in these verses. Anyone that does is changing the WORD OF GOD. Yours in Christ

      @@markhauserbible7168 No, the 10 are simply the E.U. why do people think a picture of the Mediterranean Sea Region suddenly turns into a global kingdom in the end times? One reason is they do not understand the WHOLE EARTH simply means the whole dirt or earth being spoken about. Both Nebuchadnezzar and Greece was said o rule the whole earth also, Neb was told wherever men laid there heads he would be given rule and Greece or the 3rd Beast was said to rule the whole earth and we know Alexander/Greece never ruled India, China or the Scythians (modern day Russia). The WHOLE EARTH or all the land means the Mediterranean Sea Region, because each beast arises from the Great [Mediterranean] Sea. This has been my calling for 38 years, but only in the last 7 or 8 years has God started revealing these end time understandings.
      Thee will be no United States, the 1/3 of the trees/lands/ships etc. that burn up is more of a DESTINATION, this Apophis Asteroid (Rev. 8) is going to hit in te Pacific Ocea just off the California Coastline. Both North and South America are going to basically be wiped out. On a hunch I looked up the Landmass of the two Americas combined, they are 1/3 of the Landmass of the whole world. Then I looked up the Pacific Ocean and it is 1/3 of the water on the surface of the whole earth, but I said to myself, Oceans are just imaginary line named such, to my surprise, NO.......Oceans because of their PHD make-up can not cross over into other oceans !! Now we know why Rev. 16 calls them the Kings of the East, the Anti-Christ and his Beast (The E.U.) are mainly north and west of Israel, however everyone else who joins in will be East of Israel.
      Jesus came and had a small ministry ONLY unto the Jews. The Anti-Christ will be the President of the E.U. and his only objective is to conquer the Mediterranean Sea Region, Dan. 11:40-43 DESCRIBES it to a tee, he only conquers that area, and on a map he will look just like Rome i n 117ish AD.

    The reason Luther and Calvin didn't like the book of Revelation is that they could not make sense of it.
    They had been led to believe that this letter called Revelation had been written about AD 95. This places the book 28 years after the invasion of Palestine by Vespasian and Titus to Genocide the Jews for their rebellion against Rome which culminated in the total destruction of Jerusalem and it's Temple AD 70.
    If Luther and Calvin had realized that Revelation was written about AD 65, a year or two before the beginning of the Jewish Apocalypse, Armageddon, then the book of Revelations would have made sense to them. 🙂

    On Revelation 1:7 & Matthew 24:30.
    Revelation 1:7”Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all the tribes of the land shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.
    Mt.24:30”And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the land mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
    If you were reading these 2 verses for the 1st time and don’t have the proper translation above then it’s easy to understand why there’s a lot of confusion about the Lords second coming!
    In Rev.1:7 and Mt.24:30 the proper translation is “ tribes of the land”!
    The majority of the translations have it wrong!
    For example -
    All the kindreds of the earth.
    All people on earth.
    All the nations of the earth.
    All people’s of the earth.
    All the families of the earth.
    These verses misrepresent an important factor in precise bible interpretation called “ Audience Relevance “.
    The verses above turn a local judgment upon Old Covenant Israel (the tribes of the land) and Christs return sound like every eyeball on the planet is going to see Jesus return on the clouds.
    It also takes it out of its historical context creating a false narrative about “WHO” would witness Jesus return and “WHEN” and “WHERE”.
    Revelation 1:7 and Matthew 24:30 are a judgment upon the “LAND” not the Globe!
    The Greek word Kosmos is never once used describing the judgments in the book Revelation or the Olivet Discourse.
    The earth is always equated to the “LAND”.
    Young’s Literal Translation gets it right by using the “LAND” in Matthew 24 and the book of Revelation rather than the earth.
    In fact the book of Revelation even pinpoints the “LAND” in which it’s referring to.
    Three times we see the word for WORLD which in the Greek is “Oikoumene” and is defined as “The Inhabited Roman World.
    This same word is used in Luke2:1 where a census went throughout the “world”(Oikoumene) the census only went out only throughout the Roman Empire.
    Oikoumene is used Acts17:5 where they turned the “world” upside down not to describe the globe or even nations outside the Roman Empire!
    Since Mt:24:30 and Revelation are talking about the same “tribes of the land”(which by the way are not here with us today as well as the Jews and Roman soldiers who had Jesus pierced)and the same return of Jesus in the clouds one must conclude both books are not describing a global sighting of Jesus in our future.
    What good would fleeing to mountains in Judea do Mt.24:16 if there was going to be a global mass destruction.
    The hour of trail that was (Gk.Mello about to or on the verge of ) to come upon ALL THE WORLD in Rev.3:10 is the Roman Empire (Oikoumene)World not Globe!
    The “Oikoumene”world is also mentioned in Rev.12:9 and 16:14-16.The latter where the whole world “Oikoumene”is gathered in a place called Armageddon.Therefore Armageddon is not worldwide!
    In Revelation 17&18-16:19-11:8,13-A CITY,A GREAT CITY is identified as the recipients of judgment not the planet or globe or kindreds or people or nations or families of the earth!
    I tossed an NIV Bible I had for 35 because it read “Nations of the earth” which keep me in the dark for years.
    Having the proper interpretation and respect for Audience Relevance and Time Factors makes a huge difference in how we see eschatology and clearly places the coming of our Lord and Savior in the lifetime of Old Covenant Israel in the first century.

    If the the 7 churches refer to 7 periods of church history, doesn’t that contradict the idea of an imminent rapture? It would require the “church age” be completed or fulfilled before the lord can return right? Seems like a really weak position to hold let alone teach and put online for the masses.

    • @MrRondonmon
      @MrRondonmon ปีที่แล้ว

      It refers to DIVINE COMPLTION (7) and 10 = Completion just as 12 = Fulness, thus the 144,000 the 7000 and the 1/3 in Zech. 13:8-9 all add up to the same number, 3.5-5 million Jews who repent. 12 x 12 x 10 x 10 x 10 is simply God SHOUTING Fulness x Completeness = 144,000 or ALL Israel who repents. 7 X 10 X 10 X 10 is God SHOUTING Divine Completion x Completion or ALL Israel who repents which is the 7000 God has saved unto Himself.

    Why We Must Be Born Again
    The Way Back To Pentecost
    When Jesus told Nicodemus, except a man or person be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. St. John 3:5, he was telling him who needed to do it. Now, watch it. Matthew told what to do, Mark told why to do it, Luke told where to do it and John told who to do it. What’s missing? Didn’t nobody tell how to do it, until the great day called Pentecost when Peter stood up to preach.
    Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
    Acts 2:38 KJV
    What to do? - repent and be baptized. Who? - everyone of you. How do we do it? - in the name of Jesus Christ. Why do it? for the remission of sins. What’s the result of doing it? - and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. The Jews did it. Look at the 8th Chapter of Act, verse 4, “Therefore they that were scattered abroad went everywhere preaching the Word.” Verse 5 “Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them.” Verse 12, “But when they believed Phillip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.”
    14. Now when the apostles which were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent unto them Peter and John:
    15. Who, when they were come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Ghost:
    16. (For as yet he was fallen upon none of them: only they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.) Acts 8:14-16.
    In Acts 2, the Jews did it. In Acts 8, the half Jews did it. In Acts 10, the Gentiles did it and in Acts 19, the Baptist folks did it. They all did it because God said that’s the only way to do it.
    Of the 66 books in the entire Bible, there’s only one that don’t fit in with any of the groups. That book is the book of Acts, because the book of Acts is the only book in the Bible that tells you how to get save.
    And, until Jesus Christ returns in the clouds to call his church away “1st Peter 2:9-10,” this gospel is to be preached by us to every nation and is still in force today till that great getting up morning when the dead in Christ shall rise first, we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them to meet the Lord in the air, so shall we ever be with the lover of our souls.
    Will you be saved today, according to the Holy Scriptures? Acts 2:38 KJV is still in force today till God body, “the Bride of Christ is completed.”

    The prophet Agubus in NT..Said Paul would be taken captive when he went to Jerusalem. Also he said there was going to be a famine in all the world so they took up a collection for the church in Jerusalem. Those types of prophesying are still valid now. As in th gift of prophesying. Granted most are false . So is it a falsehood to say that God does not speak any more.! Through prophesying.

    It’s plainly laid out the way John says and wouldn’t you know it, the last thing that we read before the things that will happen in the future is revelation 3:10, because you have kept the word of my patience, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that shall come upon the whole world. He wasn’t talking to John, he died he’s not a living miracle of over 2000 years old today. This promise is to the church for their faith. The tribulation is for the unbelievers, both Jewish and non Jewish. It’s not hard to figure out. Pre wrath/ no rapture beliefs are demonic and puts no trust in the hood of Christ. I’ll boldly state it because they refuse to stand down in the face of plain statements of scripture. They are the ones who will be ashamed in the taking up of the saints.

    The problem with pre trib believers is when the antichrist sets the stage they don"t recognize him because they reason "it can"t be the antichrist because we are stil here"" pre trib teaching is dangerous not only for the ones who believe in it but also for those who teach it Jeremia 14;14
