The reason to use scissors over comb is because of the flexibility of cutting a Parabolic curve (especially for straight and thick Asian's hair), there's no need to argue about which one is better, because it's completely different technique, if you treat your work as a piece of art, then these are two different kind of art, people choose their own tools to sculpt, but if your are only talking about quick and easy, then I'm on your side!

All I was saying is that if you know how to use clippers properly they are very pricise, quick, and give a more even and quality result over scissors. Many times stylists who use scissors give a very uneven result (as do barbers with clippers who don't concentrate on what they are doing). You certainly did a fantastic job on this hair cut so great job!

The artistry of the scissor over comb technique is for a certain type of client. 75% of men wouldn't care if you used scissors, clippers or a lawn mower to cut their hair. Haircutting is an art. This haircut was very entertaining to watch. You definetly have skills with the scissors. Thank you for this great video salonriah. The problem in the end is the cut looks unfinished and sloppy in my opinion. The only reason it doesn't show how many holes you made in this cut is because this type of asian hair is very thick and straight. I agree with barbers negative comments but remember this type of hair is extremely tough to cut...
I totally agree with you. I been cutting hair for 2 years and I still get very terrifying when a Asian costumer walk inside the salon. Asian hair is not easy to cut.
