I always get mad when I think about harry greb. Because to this day we have his record but no footage. He holds the record for most wins over hall of fame fighters and the most fights in a single year and is the only man who ever beat gene tunney but yet to this day we have not a single roll of footage of him 🤬 it's the biggest crime in the history of the sport
I'd have liked to see Harry Greb fight Marvelous Marvin Hagler or Rocky Marciano. For that matter Jack Johnson vs. Muhammad Ali would be a great fight.
There is no footage of Greb fighting. Just a film reel of him acting about in training i believe prior to the mickey walker fight. A number of his fights were filmed but sadly none have come to light yet
@@hardlineboxingtalk7542 yeah I've seen that training reel on youtube im waiting on biography to come as we speak but thanks for your quick reply mate and im enjoying your programmes on your youtube channel keep up the good work I good to here a northern voice on here instead of Americans cheers mate
@@dantedlane2 greb would not look like a polished fighter if we had footage. People would not have to build there hopes up. He was ungainly not the greatest technique. But speed endurance and punch output won him fights even over more technical skilled fighters. And the fact he was hard to tag clean and his constant attacks combined with his great chin meant even though he was not the most skilled he would often easily beat his opponents through attrition

I'd like to see marciano/tyson...liston/foreman....dempsey/johnson....robinson/cerdan....duran/leonard..
With all respect to Jack Jonson, Ali is way to fast and skilled for him
Did Jack Dempsey avoid any fights with Harry Greb?
The fight was discussed many times, Greb wanted it but Dempsey sometimes indicated he would take it then at other times he would dismiss it
Yes Dempsey's camp threw Greb out of Jack's training camp because he whooped him in sparring in front of everyone.
Is there any footage of Harry grebb fighting I carnt find anything what about you mate
