Mi Shelly, The two things you said not sure what they were yes they are both Horns one low tone one high tone, (the 2000E has two horns fitted like that, (they get the extra snail looking one) lower specification cars have just the round one, try celly thiners on the vinyl crash pad top, (BUT NOT on any plastic trim, as it will melt plastic!) but cleans all "Vinyl" trim well, will lessen the brown on the crash pad, (Dash board top) the sun damage may still be there after, so you might need to get vinyl coat colour matched and re spray it for a like new look, Nice to see more work on the car, all the best from Keith.
Nice one Shelley , I got myself one of those sand/media blasters ! It was really cheap a couple of hundred quid with the media and it’s absolutely wonderful thing for a lot stuff your doing I would think 🤔 you can get things in it the size of a car battery maybe a bit more ….anyway just a thought , great vid really enjoying it 👍
Great film Shelley. I have been looking forward to seeing the progress. I wish I had a parts tumbler, really good piece of kit. Well done getting the engine out.
Yep, i think it is Arizona, and Halfords still do the rattle cans! The upholstery looks like its Savannah, and the dash/crashpad etc are unknown so i have had the paint scanned and matched for the steering wheel and will use this for the other areas too
Looking like a lost cause for like for like Ford Beta cloth, but apparently a steam clean will bring up the foam to expand slightly and thus stretch the cloth. The plan now is to clean them all up (they ain’t too bad tbh) and try the steam clean. I’ll let you know how it goes
Loving your resto mate! I have a 2000E but it doesn’t need as much work as yours, I’m learning a lot from you pal, great work
Magic erasers you find them when in stock in Poundland or Home bargains stores , Great Video

Just bought one. Mine seems to keep blocking after just a few seconds but I guess it’s just trial and error with the pressures and media

Thanks Simone. I think it was your FB comment that helped me get all the footage together off my phone and make the film :-)
Have you never heard of using oxalic acid with boiling water for your small parts like the battery tray clamp etc?
Works better than that vibrator lol
love it well done
If I’m not mistaken that is the infamous Arizona Gold Metallic. There were many shades to that colour according to year.

Let me know if you get hold of any of that beige trim for the seats pal

Will you label the wiring or refer to manual on reinstating.
I’ve labelled ‘most’ of the wiring loom but will certainly refer to the manual to double check some wires.
