Agreed, anything more than 3 rounds for Bellew is charity. From the 4th onwards Usyk won every round. The fact that one of the judges had Bellew winning 5 rounds before the KO is proof that the plan was to rob Usyk if it went 12. Someone even set off the fire alarm at Usyk's hotel at 4am the night before the fight so it fucked up his sleep, desperate tactics. Commentary team was awful as well apart from Paulie Malignaggi who was trying to be unbiased.

I just checked the punch stats and the only round where Bellew has more shots land is the 2nd. Watched the fight back and Bellew landed to the guard. Judges have limited view and can be swayed by the crowd which obvs favoured Bellew. As did the commentary which was piss poor. Disappointed cos Paulie is usually pretty good

I’m a little rosy, Usyk was born in Crimea, all relatives and parents also live in Crimea (now it is Russia and from 1783 to 1954 it was Russia), his native language is Russian (like Lomachenko and Gvozdik) and treat Russia and Ukraine very respectfully , he does not succumb to the provocations of radical nationalists. Alex is an example of a smart and dignified person. Therefore, there will be no national violent intrigue, only high-level boxing.

Ik theres people on here who just flat out dont like tony bellew and will go against anything that he says or does. Everyone is entitled to an opinion. However, the way he came out firing in that fight, I honestly thought this is the best tony bellew there ever has been and I thought he could go on to win if he could keep up the pace he showed. Usyk made it difficult, showing him to the ropes, great footwork, but Tony's footwork was excellent throughout the fight until he got tired and then hit on the bell, which was his downward spiral. He was definitely winning the fight on points without question, but usyk didnt really engage until the later rounds and Tony's strategy fell right into the hands of usyk. In hindsight, if tony matched usyks pace, was a bit smarter with his stamina, it could've been a very different fight. He's a very underrated fighter, but take nothing away from usyk, he showed power, accuracy, the way he moves in the ring is class. Gotta give props to tony tho, and honestly, if u dont, u really just dont understand boxing or u have something against the guy

Lol bullshit excuses right there, the difference between the cruiserweight division and the heavyweight division is 1lbs, if you weigh 200lbs you are a cruiserweight, if you weigh 201lbs you are a heavyweight. Bellew weighed 210lbs for the 2nd Haye fight so wasn't exactly 50lbs heavier for those fights, this is not like when Brook fought GGG at 160 then drained back down to 147 for Spence 9 months later, because 13lbs in the lighter divisions makes much more of a difference than up at cruiser and heavyweight. Most boxers lose weight quickly for fights, Usyk probably walks around at the same weight as Bellew does when not fighting. Excuse denied.

While it values muchh, but still size and power is not everything. Chris Byrd is a very good example. He had all kinds of disatvantage against his opponents and all he had was his speed. He was extremely good at making his opponents look silly. I say Byrd would have scholed most heavyweights of today. Wilder would have probably quit on his stool with two broken hands and discolated shoulder.
Usyk is not small either. He's 6'3 and is basically the same like Haye, Parker, Whyte, Miller and Ortiz. Another cruiserweight Steve Cunningham knocked down Fury. Besides he had already beat numerous big punchers both throughout his amateur and professional career like: Artur Beterbiev who is currently probably p4p hardest puncher or top 5 at least with all wins by KO; Joe Joyce who is very similar to Joshua; Magomedrasul Medzhidov who had beat Joshua at amateur; Mihai Nistor who also beat Joshua and stopped him; Junior Fa; Krysztof Glowacki; Marco Huck who whooped Alexander Povetkin back in 2012 and had him one punch away from being knocked out, but was robbed in the end; Mairis Briedis who was knocking out heavyweights; Murat Gassiev who sparred with Deontay Wilder and Chris Arreola and both of them said that he is the hardest puncher they ever faced. Also Usyk regularly spars with Wladimir Klitschko.

Usyk certainly has the skills, speed and movement to cause AJ major problems. It all comes down to how he handles a big strong powerful Super Heavyweight like AJ who is in his prime. He needs to be very elusive and not engage too much. On the flip side, AJ will have to alter his style a bit and employ some Wlad style tactics. AJ doesn't have the best movement, is quite stiff and doesn't have the best cardio. The worst thing for him to do is chase Usyk all over the ring and swing and miss. He has to fight in short spurts, grab and lean on Usyk, who is significantly smaller and pace himself. He has to tire Usyk out and look to knock him out in the later rounds. Usyk on the slip side has to stay away from AJ and fight at range and avoid grappling. The extra 2-3 stones that AJ will have will take it's toll on Usyk if he doesn't stay away.

Reading through some of these comments people saying usyk would trouble AJ coz of his skill ect ect and how AJ went up against old people worn out people GIVE YA HEAD A WOBBLE AJ has been up against people the most other heavyweights didn’t want to no,saying AJ is a robot 🤔 well then he’s a fucken hard one coz AJ is the one at the top and he will be there for awhile mark my words, yes he’s made mistakes in the ring and got tagged a few times but look how long he’s been pro for, look at the hard people he’s faced in that short space of time, just because the ref stops some fights before AJ can ko them don’t make him any less,it’s the ref not AJ,he’s still learning and that lad is going to be more dangerous than ever the longer he carries on

I don't think Usyk can beat Joshua,he will struggle to get inside,AJ is just too big, also very intelligent,Usyk will probably get cought with an uppercut on the inside. But I would put my money on Usyk against Wilder,Usyk would be too elusive and technically sound for Wilder, probably on decision after 12 rounds, unless corrupted judges don't kick in

There’s no way this guy Usyk will be able to beat Joshua... he’s far too small. He might be able to box clever for few rounds and be elusive but sooner or later big AJ will land and nail him to canvas.

If Usyk thinks he can go up to H/W and dominate he is deluded. 6'3 was the norm in the 80's, but now its just too small. Guys like AJ, Wilder and Fury (who has more skill than Usyk) would have him for breakfast.
