HIM provides a space where u can dive deep inside of u and allow u to feel ur deepest feelings and fears. that its ok to search and examine our darker side.
He’s such an amazing vocalist, I was so lucky to see them twice in their career. Great song and takes me back for sure, they are very underrated Ville has an incredible bass range tone to his voice, he can go very low as well as high, very natural ability, not bad for someone who’s a chain smoker too
If you REALLY want to know why people were/are so obsessed with HIM (and I include myself here ;) ) you should really listen to Right Here In My Arms. that's a classic. a ASSURE you will not regret

And if you wanna hear Vile's amazing vocal range, specially his deep and low voice, you should listen to any of the songs from that album or even from the first one called Greatest Lovesongs Vol. 666. That is, i would say, the heaviest and darkest album that they ever released. Good reaction by the way!
this period is my top for them. Most of my top songs by them are from Dark Light. Ville is vary talented and a brilliant vocalist. I like Vampire Heart, Under the Rose, this one, Ripping of the Wings off a Butterfly are some of my favorites, all from Dark Light. When you said that about the airy falsetto and ability to retain the richness, not a lot of singers can do that. I am reminded of Robin Gibb who had that down, naturally, to sing in his head voice in his entire range, including falsetto. I think that gives it that airy quality and almost angelic feel. Okay, now you just said that too about the head voice. I believe it's so unique because it's not really something that can be learned, that particular ability. Many people describe RG's voice as angelic, and that's partly why (along with him being pitch perfect at all times, even as he moves from one register to another, and the killer vibrato). Ville has a very unique voice and talent. This particular talent also tends to lend a lot of feeling to the words, I still think you may have tone-color or music-color synesthesia like I do. Ville has the most beautiful voice I’ve ever heard and is one of the most underrated singers. I love that soft seductiveness and his range and ability to go from a deep baritone to a falsetto is so insane. He definitely has a voice that just sounds otherworldly. My favorite era from HIM was in 2005. Ville was able to achieve that beautiful soft tone while also incorporating deep growls or raw screams that sounds like nothing else you’d ever heard. I can tell you’re a big fan, as am I. I really encourage you to watch this set live at Rock Am Ring. He does some pretty insane screams.
