- The TATA80 was definitely surprising. A fun mounting system that not only is bouncy, but can be changed out? I'm here for it. And it comes in at $239.00 USD? Yeah it's definitely something that can turn a head or two.
The assembly was simple, and the mounting style was fun. It features something called "swan" gaskets, which resemble a car suspension according to them. This results in a VERY soft and bouncey keyboard with the config I used in the video, and it can be slightly lessen if you use the silicone mounting points. In fact, this is probably the bounciest keyboard I've ever used.
The metal swan gaskets did make some noticeable noise when physically shaking the board, but nothing when actually using it. I highly recommend them to use some some of rubber to help brace that.
Physically the board highly resembles the studios Ginkgo keyboard, which is fine but not super out there in terms of looks.

Maybe it's just me, but all these keyboards are starting to blend together in looks and sound
rn the price are the only made it difference
I will say, something about his setup (mic maybe?) makes all his builds sound very similar
@@simeonlee3207 all mics generally make things sound the same. His mic actually does it way less compared to other creators tho
I think it's because at similar price points. They come with very similar things. Eg: Full alu case, flex cut pcb, pc plate. Almost every keyboard comes with these nowadays

Aw man, if it only had one central flex cut like the Ginkgo65, I think this ought to be super good. That thing was built like a tank (it's a heavy boy even without internal/external weights), has that decent amount of flex, and can still manage to sound superb with or without foams. Currently rocking it with case foam and spacebar foam only, and it sounds way better than recent boards with a bunch of flex cuts. No tape modding needed or a full foam build to make it sound decent.
I won the giveaway for this board, but could barely find any info/reviews on it. Glad to see a solid overview of it finally. Didn't want to search through the twitch vod.

i wonder if you could swap out the pcb for a wilba graphite pcb
perhaps but the JST cable attaches in a different spot on the Wilba PCB. you would need quite a bit of room under the PCB for that to work

Because "bounce" is the first thing that people look for in keyboards ... Just buy a $20 Dell keyboard and call it a day, for real.
To hell with this hobby, I'm getting into cars... At least modding those makes sense. And isn't overly expensive in the long run.
