I think I've figured out why you can really FEEL their music and music videos.. I feel like, in general, kpop group mvs are so focused on looking good and smiling when they need to and whatnot to match the energy of a song.. but Ateez is different. They fr THROW themselves into the dances that are so different from other groups, and aren't afraid to make the scary and hard facial expressions that the song needs. Their energy is infectious, and that really comes out in live performances and even their dance practices. They put out some amazing dance covers under the name KQ Fellaz, and there are 3 performance videos (and a Yunho solo one) if you want to check those out!
Also, you can totally tell a kpop fan chose these songs for you, and i love your sister for that. we stan
Ateez has a bunch of upbeat songs like this... Hala Hala is my favorite, you should def check out their debut song Pirate King as well.. or even their newest song Bouncy!
and if you're into softer songs, check out Turbulence or Mist!

Ateez are really like no one else, they always fully commit to whatever is the current concept and you can always feel their joy of performing.
Make sure to watch some live stages too, preferably from festivals or other concerts because that's what they're the most famous for. Just imagine 20k people screaming BREAK THE WALL from Guerrilla!
Answer is one of the fandom's absolute favourites. The teaser at the end is from a song that came out over 2 years later called Sector 1 - that's how far ahead they plan :)

The most important thing to know about Ateez is that almost all of their music is part of a fictional storyline. Each Ateez album is titled with a chapter name and an episode name and number, so 1 album = 1 episode of the story. Each chapter contains about 3-4 episodes. The condensed version of their story is this: Ateez are a crew of pirates that were gifted a magic hourglass called a chromer. This hourglass allows them to travel through time and across dimensions. While on their journey they hunt for treasure, have adventures, and fight these bad guys with no faces. Sometimes they do these things with the help of Halateez (who you saw in the Say My Name and Answer music videos) which are the Ateez members but from a different dimension. You can tell Halateez apart from Ateez because they wear the black hats and often masks as well. They are also called the “Black Pirates.” Most Ateez videos have extended scenes at the end (like Marvel movies). Which continue the story while teasing music from future albums.
The best Ateez guide is the Ultimate Guide to Ateez 2023. It’s long, but it’s worth it.

As for the ending scenes, Ateez has a running storyline throughout all of their music videos, the ending scenes help fill in blanks, also the music of the ending scene is always a spoiler for a future song.
If you want to be an Atiny (Ateez + destiny. ATEEZ’s fandom) you also need to watch the Music Videos for Pirate King (their debut song), Wonderland, Halazia, Bouncy, Inception, and Deja Vu. And probably Fireworks as well.

Ateez is coming back DEC 1st with a Full Album. But, let's start with the basics.
They come from a small company and are basically legends to the upcoming groups in k-pop (Example, Zerobase1). Even though, they are young themselves. They have only been in the industry five years and have changed the game.
There's 8 members and ALL are incredible Performers, vocalists/rappers & dancers. They are called the "Standard of Performance in K-pop" by critics & even PSY, (the guy who created Gangam Style) has praised them. There's only 1 English Speaker (he's still Korean), but the members try to learn English.
Notes for the Storyline: Halazia is the aftermath of Guerilla. Guerilla is the song that is meant to break everyone out of the evil guys mind control in a world where art n music arent allowed. So they literally start Guerilla Warfare n BREAK THE WALL lol. But they dont win n have to inspire hope again with Halazia (see that after if you can). Letting others know that they can they can have their Hearts Awakened, Live Alive & Be the Light even in dark times( See Hala Hala Perfermance vid).
NOTE: ATEEZ are known are Pirate Idols, because their debut song was Pirate King & their concepts carry through the Pirate storyline for their albums & even Music Videos. They still have a bit of the Pirate Concept thrown in (with songs like Horizen, Dont Stop MV n others), but its more modern n futuristic rebellion freedom fighters with newer albums, like Guerilla

Seonghwa(pronounced Song wha) The oldest-26- dark hair thats marked on the sides (he had pink hair in the real), wears red sometimes in the videos, and leads the dance a lot (he also suggested the BREAK THE WALL part, so everyone thank Park Seonghwa)- he's a vocalist & visual, insane performer and kinda like a mom (but bullied most of the time) to the group (we love him tho 😭), he's also a lowkey rapper & a part of and unofficial subsection call the "demon line". You'll see why.
Hongjoong (pronounced Hong Joon)- the Captain, he's the one with white hair in answer & the cruella hairdo in guerilla/he starts the mv with his rap and giggles are his trademark- he's an amazing rapper n a lowkey vocalist. Ateez & Atiny don't call him Leader. He writes, as well as produces for Ateez and leads the group. (Short and Intense lol).
Yunho (you-know)- has highlights in his hair, he was sitting in the room with the tvs singing( he was with the bikers in the real)- he's the Lead Dancer, a Performer and Vocalist (very stable even when doing choreo like wtf) Ateez & Atiny call him the big puppy (or cuddly bear and the tallest at over 6 feet). He was also posing with his hood up as the flames burned behind.
Yeosang (yoh-sang)- bright fluffy hair, yellow jacket in some clips, hes also a Visual and Vocalist, but with Deep and soothing vocals, a Performer (stares into your soul like u noticed), and he likes to be called doberman lol. (was the one with the bread in his mouth for the real lol)
Mingi (min gee)-he seems intimidating, but he couldn't hurt a fly- doing the rap with the deep voice, dark hair with blue and boxing gloves (i think) (he had a grey mulett in the real) Writes with Hongjoong and an absolutely dirty Performer ugh🤪
San- (blond mullet guy that moves like he's possessed) Vocalist, Dancer, Performer and Part of the Demon Line (you'll see what we mean). He's got a fierce look to him, but sings beautifully in the room, on the screen of tvs and other parts. (blue hair and a bat in the real)
Woo young (pronounced oo young)- crackhead energy (you'll see), but reliable- dark fluffy hair, baggy dark clothes. He's a Dancer, Performer, Vocalist, (usually, always with San, for choreos too). Rebellious but loyal🤭 (was beside san in the real, dark hair and mole under his eye)
Jongho(say JungHo)- (mixed up a lot with Yunho, he's shorter tho and has a darker vibe) the best 4th Gen Vocalist (I said what i said), beautiful Performer and he's the youngest. He's also the one belting out vocals, in the black and white, usually alone, near the speakers. (also looks intimidating but is nickname haribo bear lol)
Our fandom is call Atiny, which is a combination of Ateez and Destiny.
Hope you like the songs and check out their albums or past songs. I would recommend Desire & the Precious+Treasure Mix, but please be careful when choosing lyric videos, they mess up who does the lyrics a lot. Instead, try the user *sanie's* uploaded videos of the live dvd performances for an even insane-r experience (you'll see) even if in your free time.
I hope u listen to The World EP 1 full album too n try the user *sanie* on yt for the concert versions, they are OUTSTANDING.

ATEEZ quite a powerful group and is known as kings of performance. Their energy is at a different level. They also hv a vocal king as you would hv heard. They are one of the best dancing group as well and aslo know as a visual group. Next song or mv to react to Wonderland and Halazia.
