Love the explanation on the clutch, I usually learn by taking things apart myself and playing around with the parts. But I have not yet opened a motor so have not had the opportunity. Something clicked this time when watching your video and I have a much better understanding on the clutch and a clearer understanding physically on how the water pump, power valve, crank, and kick starter have in relation with each other. I still think I will have to take the transmission part myself to get a better understanding. Nevertheless great video and will subscribe to follow the build!
@@shanebiggs9128 thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! It is much easier to learn hands on in my opinion. I wish I would've went a bit more in depth with the transmission, and had a bit better camera work for how the gears mesh with each other to select the gear.
I will try my best! Thank you very much. There's some areas on the machines where I'm still learning everything, suspension being one of those items. I can rebuild, but to explain every single component and the function, I may struggle. But I will absolutely try my best!
Straight off the bat when discussing the head you failed to mention the purpose of the squish band and how it prevents pre ignition by causing turbulence in the the fuel air mix and how it makes for a more complete burn increasing power and fuel economy.
I'm 34 and in riding since the age of 15, and it's the best explanation of clutch I've ever seen.
Awesome channel.

is the flywheel supposed to be rusty and gross like that and i loved these types of videos
Fly wheels are covered by a cover which is not always water tight but they will work perfectly fine with a little bit of surface rust on them
Thank you! And just like Tom said, overtime the flywheel will start to rust, but will now effect the function of it.
