    So you said that this will automatically change carriers. I have been out camping a few times and mine didn’t work and I had good cell service in those areas. My unit works great if ATT is in the area but does not switch to other carriers if there is no ATT service. I personally spoke with Tyler yesterday 7-29-24(Connectens Owner) and he told me that it doesn’t auto connect. He told me that I would have to call or chat with someone to get the carrier switched. You may want to talk with Connecten because if what Tyler told me is fact you may want to revamp your video. Thanks and have a blessed day.

      I was about to order mine but pricing scale seems a little bit deceptive to me. I tried to order the $99 data plan with the $99 one-time equipment charge 4G router, but apparently the monthly recurring payment will be $297. No one ever mentioned they charge separately for the visim card, so it brings up the payment much higher than anticipated. Unless I'm wrong unless I missed something. How much is your monthly payment?

    Great info, one question why does connecten have bad reviews on face book.

    I can add eSIM cards to my cell to get various carriers. Why do I need this versus just having them on my phone. Especially since it doesn’t actually connect automatically to strongest signal.

    • @OutsidebySide
      @OutsidebySide  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @sawcheryl The difference is that your phone doesn’t have the multiple antennas that picks up signals better than your phone. Thanks for watching! 🤩

    Thanks for the mobile internet 🛜 information! Sounds great for people that need it ! I don’t care if I’m not connected when I’m out camping. I downsized to a tiny home base 20 years ago! Just subscribed as fellow Texas based RVers... we have been to most of your adventures including those offroad (our toad is a Jeep). I hope your internet choice works well for you. As an alternative we use a multi-provider solution. We use Visible (Verizon network) for our phones which provides unlimited 5G 10 mbs tethering; a Tmobile network 5G unlimited hotspot via Caylix Institute; and a ATT network 5G unlimited Tablet plan. We use our own router which provides USB tethering and WiFi as WAN for connectivity. In addition we do have Starlink Mobile as well. Starlink is paused most of the year until we need it (specifically out west where there is no cell at all). Looking forward to future episodes. Especially when you provide campground overviews and best sites. Thanks...

    • @OutsidebySide
      @OutsidebySide  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @rdrose61 We do love ConnectTen and want to incorporate Starlink for the times we are completely off grid! How are you liking Starlink so far? We are so happy to hear you have been to some of the same places! We love to travel and live encouraging others to travel as well! Thank you so much for subscribing to our channel and supporting our community! Happy camping & we hope to meet you someday! 😀

    • @rdrose61
      @rdrose61 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@OutsidebySide Starlink is great... we have had it for 2 almost 3 years. It is essential in the wide open west with no cell service but we also use it in many places where cell service is present but unusable or we are camped in a dead zone. We have it activated less than half the year so it amoritizes cost effectively. We ethernet connect it to our own router so our devices connect to our network no matter the WAN service the router uses. The router provides multiple WAN connections (USB, ethernet and WiFi as WAN) with failover.

      Great point! I watch / read all reviews then try to let my logic decide. Unfortunately, not all but I'd say most reviews are designed to keep the sponsors happy. When they are honest reviews there is still the fact that we are humans, and some humans will find a way to give a black rock a bad review.

    A 7-day guarantee means they have ZERO faith in their product. And, personally I can't believe this, if you suspend your plan, for whatever reason, they will charge you $15.00 A MONTH for the great pleasure of NOT USING their system. Come on man. I know doing “promos” is tempting, but you are trying to sell CRAP to YOUR customers.

    • @OutsidebySide
      @OutsidebySide  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @RonHarrisMe We appreciate you taking time to leave a comment and your opinion is valid, but we completely disagree! We do not do reviews of anything we don’t stand behind. There are more items we refuse to review than items we do review. Happy camping to you and hope you do find an internet solution that you like. 😀
