Samoa and Tonga… go local or at least 70%. Develop local rugby players because they “truly” represent their villages, their schools, their families and when they put the jerseys on, they carry the weight of the nation.

From a Fijian supporter…everyone will forget this game when the sun rises on Sunday morning and all other PNC games remaining for that matter. What they will not forget is if one, two or all three pasifika teams ( Fiji, Samoa and Tonga) knock out tier 1 teams in the World Cup pool stages, qualify to the quarters or semis or finals or even win the Web Ellis cup. Center Stage is all that matters.
Fiji has the slimmest of chances of pulling off a huge upset. The other islanders ain't even getting close to an upset unless it's really early on or if the other team are already moving on and field a tier 2 squad... 😂

Good game from fiji Drua i mean these kids have been playing well in Super rugby they have the advantage big time over Samoa in this game i believe if Fiji pick this team last week against Tonga they would have put up 50 points but as always Fiji have more rugby players to pick from then both Samoa and Tonga population put together. Fiji will always have the number advantage over Samoa and Tonga so when they beat Fiji i call it an upset anytime..Tonga and Fiji are more proud Rugby nation then Samoa..Samoa have way too many other sports they play on like Weighlifting Boxing Football etc plus thats just Western Samoa playing the eastern part are more to american football..congrats Fiji im Samoan but ive always love watching you guys play with flairs and pride. Manu Samoa you did us all proud nothing to hang your head down we play a much better Fijian side come back strong next week against the mighty Tongan toks

Do you realized that they are more Samoan and Tongan players playing in overseas than Fijian players. When it comes to the National team most players are picked from overseas. The Samoan teams are made up of all overseas based players with only one local. As for the Fiji team that played yesterday they were handful were local based players. So please save the excuses that Samoa has many other sports to ocus on 😂 so you can just make yourself feel better when loosing 😂😅

Samoan 15's rugby has been around longer than any other pacific nation and should be doing just as good if not better but we aren't. Every other pacific nation has caught up and/or doing better. Wont be surprised if we cant even beat the USA

Pfft... this was like watching a top team take on oversized school boys... the samoans never stood a chance. Good for a few hard tackles but never gonna be a threat to even the second tier teams at the RWC. Fijians have a rough group but in with a chance if they play their hearts out. Samoa we’re lucky to play the Fijian B team. Fowards will need to muscle up for their game against Tonga. Can see Tongans forwards dominating the physical game but still think they can edge them.
I'd rather watch school first XV games than the samoans play the tongans... the school boys at least have some teamwork...
