Digging hole myself anyway... got backhoe for $340 and if i get it Friday evening I have it till Mon at 4:30 for that price. I can dig it in couple of days. I wonder how much y'all would charge...

Lots of facts in this video. We got a 34ft pool installed last year - the pool company warned us the grass etc would be trashed and they weren't wrong. Its an incredible amount of earth and our backyard looked like the moon for a few weeks. When they were done they trucked away the dirt and leveled the yard so we could lay new sod. We were warned about extra charges for hitting rock or water, but fortunately it was all sand and a couple of old tree stumps that were easy to remove.
Yeah, totally agree with this video.................did not have the 32000,00 to hire people to do my pool so my sons and I tackled the job. We live on the side of a mountain and the area behind the house was the only logical place to put pool. I rented the Mini X and started.....we hit rock and the Mini X did a fantastic job but we still had to rent a jack hammer to knock out some of the rock the Mini X could not get. The work was heavy, and very hot down in the 8 foot section of pool. It was terrible and physically demanding using that jack hammer and even at times we had to use a hammer and spike to get it exactly right. We were dragging out pieces of limestone that was six feet long and 2 to 3 feet thick! The sun beating down on us and 90 degree outside with about 110 in the pit with all that rock surrounding us. Anyone would be surprised at the amount of dirt you will pull out of that hole! I am lucky however since I live on a mountainside with ten acres, I have plenty of places to put the dirt.
If I lived in a development, or did not have the space I have here, I would of had to hire someone to get rid of the dirt, etc.
It's all easy with the right tools and understanding of basic geometry. The labor is the hardest part. Jack hammer is a no go. You should have rented a hydraulic hammer attachment for the excavator. Most pools can be dug in 1 to2 days giving circumstances.

I would like to see how many people can fit in different size pools because when looking at pools they are ALWAYS EMPTY not for us to see how much a given pool size occupies a number of swimmers.

That’s a video ….informative.
The only issue I disagreed with would be the excavation not saving money. I run an excavating company and if someone came out and told me they wanted a pool area dog that’s about 10 to 15 grand in my pocket.
On average how much does it cost per day to hammer out ledge????

I have a inground pool . The pool dept end is 12 feet . How can I change it to a 4 feet pool with or without the lien
Hi Sondra! It can be done, but most likely it will take some extensive planning. Your best course of action is to find a local pool pool renovation company and have them assess the project.
Easy. Demolish what is to be subtracted. Fill and form. Tie in and gunite

I share an older asphalt driveway (easement) with my neighbors. Do you think the equipment/machinery would wreck the driveway during an install?
Great question! It is very, very likely.
If they’re rubber tracks which it most likely will be if it’s a mini excavator then as long as you stay straight and don’t twist on the asphalt you’ll be okay
I want to make a pool but my house does not have an rv gate for the backhoe loader what do I do someone pls answer
You'll most likely need to remove a section of fencing in order to get equipment to the backyard.
If removing a panel is not possible then we can use a crane to lift the excavator over the fence

75g is the best medium power. If you can get the trucks closer that's better. Skid loader will move frequently back and forth. All will be product in the end. 8 foot clearenc should be nice.

Well we planned our pool in January and is now starting (August 12th) 2 months behind because of all the rain we have had the past few months but now we’re finally getting it done the trees have been removed the fence is coming down this has been our dream since we moved here 9 years ago from New Orleans also sour channel is growing like a lot keep up the good work guys!
