Haven’t been to highschool for 7 years. Taking act for the first time. I’m kinda smart but I hate math. Will study this tonight and update with my math score when results come in ! Coming from someone who hasn’t done more than basic math for 7 years+
A tip that helped me, if you ever forget the midpoint formula just remember to calculate the average of two points, for example: (6 ,7) & (12,16) I'm only doing the "X" category but you take your X1 which is 6 and your X2 which is 12 and line it up 6,7,8,9,10,11,12 and find the umber in the middle which is 9 and you do the same with the Y category.
My test is the day after tomorrow and i'm just squeezing in some extra knowledge. English and Science are easy for me but I really struggle on the math. I took the practice ACT on the ACT website and I got a 26, I'm fine with that cuz I thought i'd fail it. I hope i at least get a 26 on the real test.
@@zeespeaks6696 I struggled with science too, but changing your perspective could help. At least it did for me. Don’t think of it as science, but more so reading. All it is is reading the excerpts and analyzing graphs. The answer can typically be found within the text. It’s “fake science.” Hope you did/do well!
another may for averages is just (amount) / (total amount) = %/100% ... and cross multiply. so if you were trying to find 60% of 38, you'd do (60*38) / 100, to get 22.8
Any tips on going from a consistent 28 to a 31 or possibly a 32? I have taken around 5 practice tests in the last week and have scored the same on all of them even after reviewing my mistakes. I tend to get around 2 wrong during the first 30, 5 wrong during 30-50, and about 4-5 wrong during the last 10. Thanks in advance!
i honestly just feel like crying. i’m sitting on my kitchen trying to figure out math but it’s too hard. feel like giving up cause how complicated it is.

Do trigonometric equations come up in the ACT? if yes do we need to memorize the formulas?
@@theclairvoyant8265 which ones exactly?
you would need a 104% to get that average up to a 99. That's a lot of extra credit.
