I want all of the book content. If you want to do it, I want to watch it. I love seeing everyone's TBR. As for using a TBR jar that is up to you. I say that because TBR jars are limiting, and you might pick something you aren't in the mood to read at the time. But again, if you want to do it I will watch it. Bride by Ali Hazelwood is actually my favorite book by this author. I have read some of her contemporary books and I did like them, but Bride is the best in my opinion.

I would love to see your TBR plans, whether you want to do it as "I'm going to choose myself" or "I'm going to let random prompts choose" the books you read.
Also, LOVE Ali Hazelwood. The Love Hypothesis and Love Theoretically are two of my favourites!

If you love historical romance, you should try Johanna Lindsey. I'm told that she was the queen of that genre. I don't read romance novels, but the source of the opinion was credible enough for Me to recommend the author 😅 If you decide to try her, I'd love to hear your opinion, as well 😊💙

“Love, Theoretically” is Ali Hazelwood’s best book. Her sense of humor can be very tumblr-esque millennial cringe, but I always have a good time reading her books when I just want something where I don’t need to think too hard. “Check & Mate” is AH’s first YA romance I believe and it’s super cute. I would argue that Emily Henry’s books are better than AH’s, although they’re very much in the same lane. The difference with EH’s books is that there’s a lot less cringy humor, but it’s still pretty funny (obviously very subjective). Her best book is “Book Lovers” imo. What makes EH stand out in the contemporary romance genre for me is that her stories feel like “this is a romance book because the characters fall in love with each other” and not “these characters love each other because this is supposed to be a romance book”. Idk if that made any sense. I guess the romance is very believable is what i’m trying to get at.

😍❤️ Im so happy that you are getting into more contemporary romance, I am all for it and trying to get more into romantasy so your videos are so helpful for that as well😍
If you like that good feel, people connecting, the process of falling in love, Abby Jimenez has great banter in her books and some have me lol as well. I read “A part of your world”(3books) and think about those characters daily 🙊🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm so glad you liked Bride! I also gave it 4 stars, and it's my first Ali Hazelwood novel. She typically writes contemporary romance with women in STEM and academia, but I was told Bride was her first time branching out into paranormal romance. A really popular one of hers that I might check out next is The Love Hypothesis - I'm told it's based on a "Reylo" fanfiction

ZA is one of my favorite series of all time. Book 1 and 2 are not the best. Book 4 and 8 (I think) tore out my soul and put it back together. I have never felt such a full range of emotions during a series. My husband and son thought I was crazy. I laughed, I cried, I almost threw my kindle. I loved Metal Slinger. Currently finishing up Of Blood and Aether and moving on to Fairydale.

Ali Hazelwood- Besides Bride, I feel like many of her books are similar. Still love them and my favorite is The Love Hypothesis (probably because I read it first. Its also kyloren and Rey fanatic I believe) and then the ones after that I just thought they were a little too similar to each other.

If you’re starting to venture into paranormal romance, I highly recommend the Immortals After Dark series of books by Kresley Cole. I started reading for the romance and stayed for the incredibly detailed and competent world building and magic systems.

Hey Angie, I'm here from your beauty channel :) I don't think I've ever missed a video of you since the years I found you. I didn't know Book Tube existed, and I'm not impressed by it :D who would want to hear about 12 random books in a half-hour video? But I listened to this whole video because I like listening to you, you are keeping me company when I do something else. So, what I wanted to say is that you didn't overstay your welcome, don't let a few stupid comments make you think that. I hope you’ll continue to shape your content in a way that aligns with current trends and preferences while staying authentic to yourself. (If I may suggest, topics like in-depth reviews, quality over quantity, and addressing issues such as overconsumption and mindful living could resonate deeply with your current audience.) Wishing to see much more of your work in the years ahead!

Not Ali hazelwood (I could recommend any of them, they’re so enjoyable) but if you liked bride you should check out Bull Moon Rising. It’s the first book in a new series by Ruby Dixon and I was truly surprised by how much I liked it. The book itself is beautiful, but the story is so entertaining, there’s a real plot and the dialogue is intelligent.

I’m enjoying the video and the reviews, came here because of your comments on one of your beauty videos about problematic elements of romantasy fiction. I read the ACOTAR series well over 10 years ago and enjoyed them, but this older woman doesn’t need the snout. It’s like the old men’s magazines discovered women’s romance and I skip it because it bores me as a reader. Graphic violence and graphic sex, don’t need it, they read like the diaries of teenage boys. As much as I’ve enjoyed sone romantasy fiction, I’ve found the pairing of young women with much older violent and controlling men problematic as it normalizes unhealthy and potentially violent relationships. Looking forward to exploring this channel further.
